As the sun rose over the deserted beach,a lone gull bird thought back to the days she had soar with her flock. Sweet memories she thought, but gone are those days, life had taken it toll, one by one they left until it was her alone in the seashore. What had made them go extinct remained unknown, and she never heard from them again.
She spread her wings as the tide began to rise. She flapped her wings above the water scanning around for food, and soon she spotted it, a fish that had been thrown by the wave. She smiled, the thought that a gull meant the queen of the sea and skies whether or not she was alone gave her joy.
With a swift dive she snatched the fish and high she soared. The meal for the evening was set. For a moment all that mattered to her was the meal beneath her claws, the thought of her fellows were long gone, maybe for a while, when the thoughts of them would creep in again. The memories of their cries in the air when they scavenge for food and play in the waves. It was in the past, now she had learned to adapt and had long considered herself a lone gull.
