Riftwings are drawn to splinters and rifts. They feed off their energy and grow larger the closer they live to a portal. The Chaos Legion uses them as a means to locate rifts. In war, they are utilized as scouts, providing valuable information and as a way to harass/distract enemy forces, thereby slowing them down. .

MY LINEUP
MY LINEUP
I couldn't guess what kind of splinter and monsters that will be used by the opponent. Taking into account the ruleset and monster options that I had. I chose to use death splinter. I used a combination of melee, magic, ranged attacks and no attack monster in my lineup. I chose Thaddius since he was the only one high-level death summoner that I had. He had great debuff which reduced 1 health of the opponent's monsters. It will be an advantage for me in this earthquake ruleset. |
Xenith Monk lv5 has 2 melee attacks, 4 speeds, and 7 health. Besides his great stats, he also has heal abililty. I put him in the first position since he is the best tank that I had for 4 mana cost.
Shadow Snitch lv 6 has 2 melee attacks, 3 speeds, and 6 health. He has reach & affliction abilities. I put him in the second position as the 2nd attacker and tank. I hope he managed to apply affliction to the opponent's monsters to prevent healing.
Crypt Beetle lv6 has 2 melee attacks, 2 speeds, 3 health, & 3 armors. He has a shield ability that could reduce damage from melee attack, which is really useful in the earthquake ruleset. I put him in the 3rd position as a tank to protect Riftwing.
Riftwing lv6 has 4 speeds and 7 health. He has flying, scavenger, and backfire abilities. He won't get affected by the earthquake ruleset, his health will be added if there are monster dies in battle, and he could apply damage back to his attacker if they attack him and missed. He is very suitable for the earthquake ruleset.
Life Sapper lv 5 has 2 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 3 health. He has life leech ability which could increase his health if managed to give damage to the opponent's monsters.
Soul Strangler lv 5 has 3 ranged attacks, 3 speeds, and 3 health. He will focus on attacking the opponent's monster in the first position. |
ROUND 1
- The opponent used the Dragon splinter.
- The opponent's lineups are Selena Sky (Summoner), Spineback Turtle lv8* (1st position), Eletric Eels lv5 (2nd position), Crustacean King lv6 (3rd position), Pirate Captain lv8 (4th position), Nagawindmaster lv5 (5th position), and Tower Griffin lv5 in the last position.
- Round 1 started with buff and debuff process by both team as follows :
- Pirate Captain attacked first and managed to give 4 damage to Riftwing.
- Unicorn Mustang couldn't give any damage to Mycelic Infantry as he only has 1 melee attack.
- Naga Windmaster managed to kill Xenith Monk.
- Spineback Turtle managed to kill Shadow Snitch.
- Riftwing's health increased by 2 because of Scavenger ability.
Comment :
- My strategy was not working well in round 1. I lost 2 monsters.
- None of the opposing monsters died in round 1 and they still had plenty of armors.
- I think I'm gonna lose in this battle.
ROUND 2
- Earthquake ruleset applied at the beginning of round 2. All non-flying monsters got reduced their health and armor.
- Pirate Captain tried to attack Riftwing but missed. He got attacked back as a result which destroy his armor.
- Electric Eels managed to kill Crypt Beetle and give another 2 damage to Riftwing in the second position because of blast ability.
- Soul Strangler managed to kill Spineback Turtle.
- Naga Windmaster and Crustacean King tried to attack Riftwing but missed. They got attacked back as the result.
Comment :
- The battle result of round 2 had changed my mind.
- Riftwing did a good job. Now the battle result will depend on him.
ROUND 3
- Earthquake ruleset applied at the beginning of round 3. All non-flying monsters got reduced their health and armor.
- Pirate Captain, Naga Windmaster, and Soul Strangler were killed by the ruleset.
- Riftwing's health was increased by 3 because of scavenger ability.
- Electric Eels and Crustacean King tried to attack Riftwing but missed. They got attacked back as the result and Crustacean King was killed because of that.
ROUND 4
- Earthquake ruleset applied at the beginning of round 4. All non-flying monsters got reduced their health and armor.
- Life Sapper was killed by the ruleset.
- Tower Griffin and Electric Eels managed to attack Riftwing but not able to kill him yet.
ROUND 5
- Earthquake ruleset applied at the beginning of round 5. All non-flying monsters got reduced their health and armor.
- Electric Eels was killed by the ruleset.
- There was no attack happening in round 5 as only left Riftwing and Tower Griffin.
ROUND 21 & 22
- Additional fatigue ruleset applied in round 21.
- All monsters got reduced their health by 1.
- Tower Griffin was killed by the fatigue ruleset in round 22 while Riftwing survived.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?
- My strategy didn't go well in the first round where 2 of my monsters were killed. The enemy has monsters with a higher level and of course with great abilities. Luckily, I had Riftwing as the game-changer.
CONCLUSION
- Riftwing with its abilities could be a game-changer in the low mana battle and various ruleset e.g. earthquake, little league, noxious fumes.
