The view from the lounge, which was also the view from my hotel room since both were facing the same direction.
A nice glass of Red Wine. The first of many to come throughout the evening.
It looks like all the people in the lounge were here to drink away. Plenty of emptied out bottles waiting to be replaced.
For those who preferred Beer instead of Wine.
This sauteed black pepper beef was pretty good. The cuts were generous and the beef was tender.
Roasted mid-wings with some kind of seasoning over it. Another pretty nice snack to go with the drinks.
Baked pumpkin pie. Dessert-ish snack for those with a sweet tooth?
Vegetarians aren't forgotten too. Yellow lentils with spinach in curry. This wasn't to my taste unfortunately. I think I prefer the meaty stuff.
The cold meats. I helped myself to several servings of the parma ham and ignored the smoke salmon and salami.
The salad bar. Not in the healthy mood today, so I skipped this except for some shrimps which I took separately.
I haven’t really made used of the lounge access so far in the hotel I was staying at, and to think I had been paying for it all this while too. :(
It wasn’t all that bad though. It just meant that I had spent far more time exploring and touring around than expected.
Well, as I was saying, I finally had to “chance” to go to the lounge and that was exactly what I did. This was during the evening cocktail time, which was perfect since I was just looking to have a few drinks and to chill.
They had a pretty nice selection of bites to go with the drinks, and it was surprisingly pretty good too. Perhaps I was just tired, or it was just me alcohol influencing my taste buds. All in all, it was a good way to wind down the day. :)
