She walked past him briskly with a pocketful of rage, each step enunciating her irritation. He ran after her. "Are you okay?"
She spun on her heel and faced him. "How can you ask me that? I detest tardiness."
"It's just fifteen minutes. I already apologized."
She forced a smile and turned away from him into the restaurant. As they sat at a table, he sighed. "Look, I'm truly sorry. If you're going to be angry all through our lunch date then maybe let's take a rain check."
"I'm here already. Let's eat." While they ate, he reconsidered their relationship.
