Hello Hive. 😃 I'm back again with another @drabble.club microfiction, that is #zapfic100, inspired by the prompt "deadly words" taken from @daily.prompt's post
If you will like to write microfiction in 100 words, feel free to give this challenge a try.
Orwell gaped in shock, the hairs on the back of his neck and hands bristling, as the one-eyed, weird doll on the shelf squeaked like an old wheel.
He gasped and fell back, collapsing into a sofa. The hands and legs moved as the doll stood upright. It blinked the one eye and glanced at Orwell.
Just then, his sister burst into the old library. "What did you do?"
"I....I don't know. I read the inscription at the bottom and it started to move."
His sister gazed at the words. "Deadly words," she whispered. "That's dark magic. You're in trouble!"
Thanks for reading!
