Venezuela is a country with tourist potential due to its landscapes and natural resources. However, cities that were once places that received numerous tourists are now lonely or abandoned spaces.

La Isla Park, located in Mérida, is no exception. It is a site with different spaces and recreational areas, acoustic shells, orchid cultivation facilities, a beekeeping museum, walking trails, sports fields, and reservoirs, among others.

It was built in 1960, and at least this is what history says, because when I was there I saw deterioration and loneliness, but it is open to the public, because in spite of everything, people in search of meeting with family and having a nice time, do it.

The park has potential, as well as the country, it just needs the pillars to come out of obscurantism.

Venezuela es un país con potencial turístico debido a sus paisajes y recursos naturales. Sin embargo, ciudades que en otro tiempo fueron lugares donde se recibían numerosos turistas, ahora son espacios solitarios, o abandonados.

El parque La Isla,ubicado en Mérida, no es la excepción. Es un sitio con diferentes espacios y áreas de esparcimiento, concha acústica, instalaciones para el cultuvo de orquideas, museo de apicultura, caminerias, canchas deportivas, embalses, entre otros.

Fue construido en 1960, y al menos esto es lo que dice la historia, porque al estar allí evidencié deterioro y soledad, pero está abierto al público, porque a pesar de todo,la gente en búsqueda de encontrarse en familia y pasar un rato agradable, lo hace.

La isla tiene potencial, así como el país, solo que necesita los pilares para que salga del oscurantismo.
