After much insistence from a friend, I decided to give One Piece a chance. Besides, I wanted to expand my anime repertoire a bit.

For starters, I have to say that I liked it as far as I saw it. I found it entertaining and interesting so far. And at no point did it get tiresome and tedious.

Personally, I hate series that long. Because of the fact that I know I won't be able to finish them. Imagine, a few days ago I turned down a friend who wanted to watch Dragon Ball (the first series) with me, because it had 153 chapters.

Something that caught my attention is that Luffy has a great similarity to Goku. Both are very carefree, innocent and with a big appetite. I wonder if it was a coincidence or if there really was an inspiration.

Another thing that caught my attention was the design of the characters. They looked a bit exaggerated and grotesque to me. Like the bodies are a bit weird 😅 Although I understand that they are made that way on purpose.
Otra cosa que me llamó la atención fue el diseño de los personajes. Se me hicieron algo exagerados y grotescos. Como que los cuerpos son un poco raros 😅 Aunque entiendo que son hechos así adrede.
For the time being, the plot of the series is that Luffy puts together a crew to go in search of the One Piece. So far, it has incorporated the pirate killer, Zoro, and a girl who specializes in stealing from pirates, Nami. What I noticed in the ending, is that in the first chapter only Luffy appeared. And as the chapters go by, more characters are added. I thought it was a very good detail.

Hasta el momento incorporó al asesino de piratas, Zoro y a una chica que se especialista en robarle a los piratas, Nami. Lo que noté en el ending, es que en el primer capítulo aparecía solo Luffy. Y a medida que los capítulos pasan, se suman más personajes. Se me hizo un detalle muy bueno.
Something that generated a lot of intrigue for me is the character Shanks. Someone who appears in Luffy's flashbacks when he remembers the origin of his straw hat. You can tell that the pirate was a big inspiration for Luffy. Since in the present day, he looks a lot like him. I would even say he looks too much like him. I have a suspicion that he is actually his father. Shanks was the one who gave Luffy that distinctive hat when he said goodbye. With the promise that he would give it back to him when they were reunited. Hopefully in the future I'll get to see this character again. I liked him a lot.
Algo que me generó mucha intriga es el personaje Shanks. Alguien que aparece en los flashbacks de Luffy cuando recuerda el origen de su gorro de paja. Se nota que el pirata fue una gran inspiración para Luffy. Ya que en la actualidad, se parece mucho a él. Hasta diría que se parece demasiado. Tengo la sospecha que en realidad es su padre. Shanks fue el que le dio a Luffy ese característico sombrero cuando se despidió. Con la promesa que se lo devolviera cuando se reencontraran. Ojalá en un futuro pueda volver a ver este personaje. Me gustó mucho.
I love the adventurous style of the series. From one chapter to another you get to know new places and characters. I guess it's normal, since the main characters are constantly moving. In this sense it feels like a pretty dynamic plot to me. That's why so far, the rhythm doesn't feel heavy.
Me encanta ese estilo aventurero que tiene la serie. De un capítulo a otro se puede conocer lugares y personajes nuevos. Supongo que es normal, ya que los protagonistas están en constante movimiento. En este sentido se me hace una trama bastante dinámica. Por eso hasta ahora, no se siente pesado el ritmo.
Honestly, I don't know how long I'm going to last in this series. Needless to say, there's no way I'm going to watch 1000 episodes plus the ones yet to come out. Although I heard that there is a page where they are dedicated to uploading this series, but without filler. Reducing it quite a bit for people like me. I should investigate, because if it could be compressed, I might be able to enjoy it more.
Honestamente, no sé cuanto vaya a durar en esta serie. Está de más decir que es imposible que vaya a ver 1000 capítulos más los que faltan por salir. Aunque escuché que hay una página donde se dedican a subir esta serie, pero sin relleno. Reduciéndola bastante para personas como yo. Debería investigar, porque si se pudiera comprimir, tal vez pueda disfrutarla más.
