Will they give me the quotas in this school?
Hello dear friends of @motherhood, I hope you had a good week, it was a week of many school errands around here. To tell you the truth, it went well, I think, I will be telling you if you follow me in the reading. I tell you that my second princess Arianna is in fourth grade, she goes to a school relatively close to home, she likes it very much and has several friends that she has grown fond of.
That school is public and in spite of that it is very nice, clean and has always had a very good reputation in terms of teaching, that is why we made all our efforts to enroll her there. But with the problems that we workers are going through, as well as the teachers, that the salaries are not enough for almost nothing, they have had to reduce the number of days of classes to 2 per week. I feel that it is not enough and that Arianna does not give me enough, since she has so many days off that she leaves everything for later and at home she gets very distracted and wants to be glued to the PC.
That's why we were looking at the possibility of enrolling her in another school, even if we had to pay, there are several private schools, but they are expensive and even worse, farther away from home. However, there is a school that has enrollment from preschool to high school, it has always been very difficult to get a place, they tell me that the education there is very good, since they are strict, it is also paid but not so expensive.
So we went on Tuesday to ask if there was a place, we went with Ambar, since Arianna was in school. And since Ambar is going to preschool, we also needed a spot for her. We arrived and were waiting in the library to be served.
Ambar was excited to see the trophies that were in the library and I liked to see a list of children reading their books and marking with colors how many books they have, I think it is an incentive for the others.
Ambar was also amazed by the globe, asking what it was and I pointed out to her where our country Venezuela was located, she was happy to turn it around. She and I liked the computers that look like toys, I asked if they were useful and if they are functional, I had not seen them before, they look very nice.
Also, there are lots of books, for the kids to read, as well as board games. You can also take some books home on loan for 3 days, as long as you have a library card.
A teacher in charge told us that there was space for preschool and fifth grade, I was very excited, but she also told me that both had to take a test to see if they would give her a place. Arianna was due the next day, which was Wednesday, and Ambar was due on Friday.
When we left this new school we went to pick Arianna up at hers, we talked to her about what we had done, she had already said that she didn't want to change schools and that she would do everything wrong so that they wouldn't give her a place, she was upset and spoiled.
We still went on Wednesday to present the test, since what we want is her well being and that children resist change at first and then they get used to it quickly, I hope so.
As you can see her face was upset and she let it be known through the pictures heh, heh, heh, heh. When we arrived there were several children presenting, so we had to wait, it was sunny. Meanwhile she was complaining that the school was ugly heh, heh, heh, heh, but they teach more, she said.
She made some mistakes and that was not the worst, but she was too distracted, she was alone with the teacher, she told us that she should practice at home, hurry up that hand and concentrate on what she was doing, that in that school everything is fast and they are very strict, to give her the place she must pass the test, they agreed to call us next week.
On the other hand, Ambar was delighted running through the halls of the preschool, when the children went to the bathroom they would run with her, she did not want to leave the preschool. I took the opportunity to teach her that the children go to the bathroom by themselves, since she doesn't want to do it, I have to accompany her, take her underwear down and sit her on the toilet, she doesn't want to do it alone for anything in the world, this worries me.
Well, when the children were sent off we were able to come, when we left there was a chichero (a man who sells chicha) we bought 4 small glasses and the girls drank it so fast, that the man gave them to repeat, they came out fine he, he, he, he. At least that changed Arianna's face he, he, he, he.
And that's all friends, later I'll tell you how Ambar did in her test on Friday, my fingers can't do more, they are asleep he, he, he, he, he.
I hope you liked my publication and pray for me to get the quotas heh, heh, heh, heh. Thank you for reading. God bless you all 🤗😙🥰
