¡Saludos apreciada comunidad de Hive y Pukumundo, mi usuario es @leogergabriel, quiero compartir un canto a Capella, se trata de un popurrí de Calipsos Venezolanos de la población de El Callao, Estado Bolívar. Seleccioné tres temas All day today, Children of the soil y Guayana es, los dos primeros son en patois que es el idioma que hablan los pobladores de ese lugar.

El calipso, viene de las Antillas, por la cercanía entre Venezuela y la Isla de Trinidad y Tobago, entre otras, influyeron con su música y cultura en este sector del Estado Bolívar porque venían a trabajar en las minas de oro y se quedaron allí formando el pueblo del Callao, donde se habla mezclando el inglés con el francés dando como consecuencia un nuevo dialecto llamado anglosajón.

El Patois se originó con esos primeros pobladores, venían de sembrar y cultivar la tierra en las islas a descubrir nuevos mundos, esta vez trabajando en las minas con la extracción del oro y otros minerales. El Calipso es un ritmo que contagia y en Trinidad y Tobago se ejecuta con un pipote llamado Steel pan, en la actualidad existen orquestas llamadas Steel Bang, agradecemos a esos migrantes que influyeron con su música para que aquí en Venezuela, se diera este nuevo estilo musical, movido, rítmico y contagia al baile y a la fiesta, sobre todo en época de Carnaval.

En el calipso se utilizan unos tambores llamados Bumbak, metálicos, los llevan colgados en el pecho con un correaje mientras van desplazándose por las calles con las comparsas, bailando y cantando.

En tiempos antiguos los esclavos africanos trajeron sus tambores hechos de los barriles de petróleo, ya que, tenían la gran necesidad de tocar y recordar a sus ancestros percutiendo el instrumento. Así crearon barriles para llevar su música que les servía para drenar y sentir un poco de recreación y esparcimiento mental en el medio de tanta dominación y labores fuertes en las minas.

Con el tiempo se fueron modificando esos barriles, convirtiéndose en el actual Bumbak, generalmente son tres tambores que se percuten con distintos ritmos que se combinan para dar origen al Calipso.

Según Wikipedia, "El calipso venezolano o calipso de El Callao, cantado tradicionalmente en inglés, se hace a partir de una batería rítmica de percusión basada en el Bumbak, acompañada de charrasca, campana o cencerro y cuatro (especie de guitarra pequeña, típica de Venezuela) y maracas."

I selected three subject Oll day to day, Children of the soil and Guayana es, the first two are in patois which is the language spoken by the inhabitants of that place.

The calypso, comes from the Antilles, because of the proximity between Venezuela and the island of Trinidad and Tobago, among others, influenced with their music and culture in this sector of Bolivar State because they came to work in the gold mines and stayed there forming the town of Callao where they speak mixing English with French resulting in a new dialect called Anglo-Saxon.

The Patois originated with those first settlers, they came from sowing and cultivating the land in the islands to discover new worlds, this time working in the mines with the extraction of gold and other minerals. Calypso is a rhythm that is contagious and in Trinidad and Tobago it is played with a pipote called Steel pan, at present there are orchestras called Steel Bang, we thank those migrants who influenced with their music so that here in Venezuela, this new musical style was given, moving, rhythmic and contagious to dance and party, especially in Carnival time.

Over time these barrels were modified, becoming the current Bumbak, usually three drums that are percuten with different rhythms that combine to give rise to Calypso.

According to Wikipedia, "Venezuelan calypso or calypso from El Callao, traditionally sung in English, is made from a rhythmic percussion drum set based on the bumbac, accompanied by charrasca,campana or cowbell and cuatro (a kind of small guitar, typical of Venezuela) and maracas."
