I have a love-hate relationship with magnetic poetry.
I love the idea of it, but I hate the constraints it imposes. Whether I'm creating fiction or essays or refrigerator verse, when I'm writing I like to have free rein to access any and all words in the English language. Magnetic poetry only lets me access like 48 words, and this is difficult for me.
So when my family received a magnetic poetry set for Christmas, I was at first excited to create my first piece with it, and then (expectedly) disappointed at the limited selection of words.
This poem was my attempt at expressing the thoughts and feelings I have about magnetic poetry and language in general, and I think it turned out pretty well.
Thank you for reading!
