While on our way to Taipei and before we explored the highest skyscraper in Taiwan we first stop by at Chiang Kai Shek museum. What interesting about it was they had been telling me about the Cadillac and Limousine that out former president donated that was on display.
Before I walk you through as my entry in #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng check it HERE if you want to know a brief history about Chiang Kai-shek.
The museum is already located at Taipei, a little bit near to one of our destination.
Weather is not yet good as you can see the gray sky. I can say that all through wandering only a few times we had a blue sky.
It takes us many times before we find a parking area and the photo above was taken while I was still in the car.
Since there was no nearer, we were left with no choice but to park a little bit far. Though not so, just walk a little and cross the pedestrian.
What amazed me here is how everyone was compliant when it comes to traffic rules! Hope in my country too!
Almost there as we are now about to step inside the entrance. The journey was only about to start yet I couldn't help but to admire the architectural designs.
After passing the shaded canopy, we passed by this path walk with several trees planted on both sides. Since the weather was a bit gloomy, it was kinda cold which I find refreshing to walk in. That's the couple who took us on a tour.
Take a look how these plants were perfectly shape! I commended whoever did the job!
As much as I wanted to challenge myself climbing up the stairs I opted not too. On the left was the entrance going inside the museum and our companions walking through. Common let's go and follow them, remember we aren't familiar with the place. Might we get lost. I told the husband and he just laughed at me
There were a lot displayed, exhibits inside but I went directly to the main attraction..
Yes, this is what I mentioned earlier the Cadillac and Limousine my country donated way back 1955!
Been 68 years had passed yet it was still well maintained! Yes, it is bulletproof!
This made me think how rich my country was back then that we could afford to donate luxurious cars? What happened?
My hands were itching badly and I wanted to touch the feeling of having a power that would see several clips of the history, lol.
But it was clearly stated, no entering and no touching.
Seriously, I couldn't really get over the fact that I take time checking the cars. I wanted to see how good it was still in its outer appearance.
Yet, down to the tires it was clean and shining!
Though I won't see any but so far this is only what I found. Just scratches near the headlights. Still the thought that it was exhibited here, makes me feel so much joy and feeling proud.
After wandering around, finally we decided to go out. They knew that we still wanted to take some photos so they just told us they would be waiting at the bench. Yet, before that, Ate (the gf of my husband's friend) took this jump shot.
We take some time having some pictures earlier while I am silently wondering why it's only us.
Found out later that it was the entrance but here! Where we had a jump shot! After our hearts were content, we started climbing up the stairs as we wanted to see the view from the top.
Small droplets of rain started to pour so we are in a hurry! Almost running, believe me, I am almost catching my breath!
Good thing was, the view was somehow breathtaking so I could say it was worth every sweat!
I never thought that the landscape was not just trimmed but something was actually written.
Anyone can read?
Oh no! Seems we really need to retreat! With the thought we run again going down!
Hope you enjoy the tour and thanks for dropping by!
