Hello, Hivers! I was inactive for the past few days as I was out last weekend. Together with some officemates, we decided to unwind. We spent time with the little trek and outdoor activities I will share soon. For now, let me share with you the beauty of nature at Treasure Mountain Tanay, Rizal, Philippines.
If you live in my country's particular at National Capital Region, Rizal is the nearest place to visit if you want to go hiking, trekking, or other outdoor activities. Treasure mountain is one of the popular tourist destinations.
It is just about one hour and thirty minutes drive from our work place, but since my officemate drives fast 🤣 we reached the area earlier.
We booked overnight, and our check-in time was four in the afternoon; thus, we arrived at past three. However, the management was not as strict as they allowed us.
The reception area can be found near the parking area.
The moment I stepped out of the car, I could already feel cold from the icy weather. Not to mention it was windy. Indeed far from the city, which was surrounded by skyscrapers. always hot, humid! Here, it was the trees! All I can see is green.
After paying the deposit, our keycard was handed and one of the resort staff ushered us into our room. They also gave us a wristband for crowd monitoring.
And the tour and adventures begin!
As we enter, at the right side, you will find this bar area, as displayed here, where are different kinds of drinks. Pricey? as expected like with 100% marked up. Few tables were placed enough to accommodate several customers. It was also relaxing as it was decorated appropriately. Several plants were placed and even hung around.
On the left side, you can see the beauty of nature, green mountains, and the blue sky. This is also where room accommodations could be found. Before that, you will pass by here.
A designated area where everyone could eat as the canteen is just nearby. Just open space, no aircon or electric fan needed! Just enjoy the fresh air.
Fast forward, during the dinner, we tried sitting in one table here, at the ends facing the mountain and the experienced? I wasn't able to take the coldness, I shivered even I had my jackets.
Behind is our room, and as I walk going down, I can't help but to felt awe. Baguio feels (Baguio is the place known as the summer capital of the Philippines)
Why Baguio? Aside from the freezing weather I saw a lot of pine trees, usually seen in the later. It may have something to do with the weather, as it grows healthy!
Let me strike for a pose.
I couldn't take decent pictures in our room, but U could guarantee it was worth it. The interior was good, and the design using space savers. The architect did a great job as you won't feel crowded even though the space was not that spacious!
Let's take a tour of the campsite!
It only takes a few minutes of trek going up to the campsite. The road was rough, but there was a cemented pathway to walk comfortably. It was not that steep, and you could even bring kids. Just make sure to watch over them while walking.
This is where you may stay if you want to sleep in tent. It was provided by the resort and came along with the beddings. It faces the sunrise and the sunset, the best view. Enjoy the sea of clouds in the morning! The only problem was, it was too cold in here.
Aside from that, there was nothing to worry about as a guard was roving around 24/7.
The other picture was taken morning of the next day. Sadly there was no sea of clouds as it was slightly rainy. There are added facilities and attractions that explain the sands and cement pile at the corner.
Going down to the campsite, you can enjoy walking while enjoying the scenic view. No need to worry as trails were easy, and there were designated pathways. At the side of each, colorful plants were planted.
Have you spotted the obstacle course and the giant zee saw? Yes, of course, I didn't let it pass without trying. That made me shout and even curse that I am excited to share here on Hive next time! Aside from the beautiful view, the other tourist attraction was the Rock formations.
Taking photos is allowed; just be reminded to be careful; take pictures at your own risk! One wrong step, and you will find yourself rolling down the steep part of the campsite, and I am not sure if you will still live, lol!
Is the rock hard to climb? If you are someone who grew up in the countryside, NO. Yet, growing up in the city and fearing heights takes a lot of courage.
Me? I belonged on the first, so I didn't have a hard time. (Kidding, I am not that fit compared to when I was in my early twenties, but I managed. Here are some of my photos.
Tired from wandering around? No problem, you may rest on the wooden benches under the shade of trees or on a wooden swing.
There are many activities to be done here and since we spent overnight, it was kind a long adventure. We joined the bonfire and tried extreme activities. So stay tune until my next blog.
Thanks for spending your time reading!
