The weather was cold this past day, which could make everyone curl on the bed. I was wearing jammies and socks as I traveled to dreamland. Yet, I was awakened by the sound of someone stomping their feet on the bed! I knew it; Caleb (my baby) was awake, probably hungry! Though I was still sleepy, I got up. It took only a few minutes, and he was back to sleep again. That's when I checked my phone past midnight and had an unread message from my husband. For someone with few words, it was only on special occasions that he would send me lengthy messages. As I needed to catch up on the dates, I even forgot that today is my birthday. He was always like that; he wanted to be the first one to greet me. 🤧 His message made me smile; I was touched by how he appreciated me, and I can't believe I was this lucky!
After a few hours, at five in the morning, I got up, as my baby was already awake. The day went like an ordinary day. I didn't have a plan to cook or celebrate, as our water supply hadn't been restored yet.
Besides, I already had the priceless gift I had longed for for years! What could I ask for?
In the past years, it could have been me still working as I am away with my family. Sometimes, booking an appointment at the salon for my hair treatment, foot spa, etc. Then, I would go shopping and buy something to remember, then eat somewhere I like before going home.
Today, it was different as I spent the day cuddling with my precious one.
Hey there, Cutie! Thank you for bringing joy into Mommy and Daddy's hearts!
It was past five in the afternoon, and I was soothing him to sleep for a nap when I heard someone knocking at the door. Thinking it might be one of the in-laws who needed something, I opened the door.
Yep, that's me, and I was surprised as the husband told his siblings to cook a few dishes for my birthday and surprise me!
If I had known, I would have at least combed my hair and worn something more decent to look pretty on the video! LOL!
Aw, my husband is the best!
And, of course, thanks to the in-laws for the effort! They prepared,
Pancit, which I joke about, why it looks like it was blended, lol! It shouldn't be sliced as it's for a birthday; it has a long life.
Shanghai that nothing was left before I could get some for the later, 😆.
Tinola for soup and chicken adobo, which I forgot to take a photo of.
However, they forgot to cook rice, which made me laugh!
Since we are conserving water, we didn't transfer the food to the serving dish. We also stopped plating and used disposable utensils.
It was only a simple dinner and long chit-chat with sister in law. The day went well, and I couldn't believe I am now 35 😆. Didn't I was only 25 yesterday? Five more years, and you can see me writing on #Silverbloggers 😆. Thus, age is just a number, right?
