Years after the Cinema was paused due to the pandemic and people preferred watching on Netflix, it feels normal to see trailers for MMNF - Metro Manila Film Festival Though there are few that catch my attention, going out to watch a movie wasn't in my plan. Back then, only the husband would suggest as he is a fan of local actor Vic Sotto 😆. Thus, as he works abroad, I have never visited the Cinema. However, before the start of MMFF, someone gave us free tickets.
Wow, how much is the ticket cost? Yet, we will be paying only less than $1! Not only that but we can watch all the movies!
Let us watch The Kingdom! The husband said as it was the movie of Mr. Vic.
What about Caleb? We could not bring him inside the Cinema. Leaving him here means, I could not enjoy.
Okay, just give that ticket to anyone in the family who likes, he said, as he also doesn't want to watch alone.
We are already settled, but my sister-in-law was always to the rescue and volunteered to take care of our son. The only dilemma was that I was not confident she could. So the setup was, that we brought Caleb to the mall then I just left him in her Tita Ninang care while watching!
However, due to the traffic, we were late for the time showing of The Kingdom, so we ended up watching The Green Bones.
My mother-in-law and sister-in-law also tagged along as they had tickets.
Though the movie didn't have the highest gross, I can say that it was worth watching. The ending almost made me cry.
It was lunchtime when we were done watching, so we decided to eat lunch at Mang Inasal, one of the well-known fast food chains.
Usually, it was fully packed during mealtime.
Barbeque was the specialty, and we ordered a group meal. Ah, the struggle of always eating with a baby! Caleb doesn't like to be placed in a stroller. So, most of the time, I am holding him.
And he was mad at me because I let her Tita hold him while so I could eat properly.
It was only past twelve when we were done eating, and my husband wanted to watch his idol movie at that would be at two in the afternoon. Yeah, it was like we had a movie marathon. We still have extra tickets, I mean movies unclaimed, so instead would being forfeited, we gave them to couples. At least they save for their date!
While waiting, I saw the store of Macao and couldn't resist! That feeling finally got the sip of real TEA! Our area has few milk tea houses, yet it was different. Though at least it was cheaper.
For us not to get bores, we roam around the department store. Checking to buy something but I haven't found any. There were a few clothes I wanted to buy for Caleb, yet I felt it wasn't practical at all. The cost was expensive and he will just outgrow it.
Thus, I commend the mall - SM for having a clean breastfeeding area. Yes, my son is no longer latching to me, yet he was distracted outside. He doesn't want his milk. Did it work? Eh, still NO! I just change his clothes and diaper 🤣.
