Small Munia - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 115

in #hive-1064442 years ago

Thanks @nelinoeva for the new contest on Feathered Friends Community and the theme of this week is SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD THAT IMPRESSED ME. I have many favorite birds and I am always ready to photograph them like Kingfishers but for today's contest I share few pictures of Munia. I always love to observe this little bird in wild. These birds are very fast moving and hard to capture with camera. As these birds travel on low height branches so it is easy to capture on eye level or on low level. As they are very familiar to human presence as they are living around urban area so not hard to capture. These birds have always impressed me by the way how they have survived living around urban area mostly living in bushes grown around houses. As these birds are very small so mostly they are also a soft target for predators. As these birds are found near human habitat so many people capture them and sell in market. These small birds are also considered best pet birds. I always discourage this kind of activity.

Thank you again for your lovely entry!

Thanks, Appreciated

Interesting beautiful bird. Judging by the beak, this is probably some kind of relative of the grosbeak.

Yes, true they are all same with little difference. They all fall in finch category.

These are some Amazing Shots!

I can relate with this.. have tried to capture couple of times but with smartphone whenever I try to go near em they just fly away!

Birds are meant to be free never liked that idea of birds as pet.

well, I noticed you used Threads back in march. The User interface works better now, maybe you want to give it another try!

Yes true and best trick to capture birds, is never follow them just wait for right moment.

That's a nice advice!

Well, its hard for smartphone with just a normal camera... We need good timing and zooming capacity.

If smartphone then feed bird so they come close to you. Just static no moment.
