It almost always feels awesome to be a documentary photographer to festivals.
The energy is quite different from everyday-life, it is quite positive! Also, the flow of energy is completely different as well, and that all results into much more people who are happy to be photographed by a complete stranger, without asking for permissions.
Trust me, you won't get a smile if you lift up your camera and take a street photograph of a random pedestrian on an ordinary day...
Nothing wrong with asking for permission, and while sometimes this must be done, in most of the cases it ruins the unforged or the genuine character of the moment...
