Hotel Occidental Arenas Blancas [ESP-ENG]

Good friends of Architecture + Design, as I told you the last time we wrote in the community, for my son's birthday, we went to one of the most important tourist centers in Cuba, the beautiful Varadero beach, and we stayed at the Occidental Hotel Sands. Blancas and while enjoying those delicious vacations I couldn't help but appreciate how well structured and beautifully designed the hotel is and I wanted to share it with you.

Buenas amigos de Arquitectura + Diseño, como les conté la última vez que escribí en la comunidad debido al cumpleaños de mi hijo fuimos a uno de los polos turísticos mas importantes que hay en Cuba, la hermosa playa Varadero y nos hospedamos en el Hotel Occidental Arenas Blancas y mientras estaba disfrutando de esas deliciosas vacaciones no pude dejar de apreciar lo bien estructurado y el bonito diseño que presenta el hotel y quise compartirlo con ustedes.

The Hotel is modern, it is part of the Varadero Resort by Barceló complex, this hotel group was founded in 1931 by Simón Barceló in Mallorca, Spain, it has more than 250 hotels in 22 countries. Within the hotel brands of this group is the Occidental, which is characterized by being very functional and comfortable hotels for customers and 80 percent of its hotels are five and four stars, the group has a Department of Construction and Promotion, where it is clear that avant-garde ideas, as well as correct functionality, can be applied to any hotel.

It is located on the beachfront, so with just a few steps you can reach the sand of the beach, its exact location is Kilometer 3 of Avenida las Américas and Avenida 1ra de Varadero. This Hotel complies with the aspects that characterize the Spa Hotels, which are so called because of their location and because the stay in them ranges from several days, long stays are not made.

The entrance of the Hotel is very nice and has an excellent parking lot which is adorned with stone sculptures that harmonize with the environment where it is located. In addition, there is a covered part that is where cars are parked to leave visitors.

El Hotel es moderno, forma parte del complejo Varadero Resort by Barceló, este grupo hotelero fue fundado en 1931 por Simón Barceló en Mallorca, España, cuenta con más de 250 hoteles en 22 países. Dentro de las marcas hoteleras de este grupo se encuentra el Occidental, que se caracteriza por ser hoteles muy funcionales y confortables para los clientes y el 80 por ciento de sus hoteles son de cinco y cuatro estrellas, el grupo cuenta con un Departamento de Construcción y Promoción, donde queda claro que Las ideas vanguardistas, así como la correcta funcionalidad, se pueden aplicar a cualquier hotel.
Está ubicado en primera línea de playa, por lo que con solo unos pasos puedes llegar a la arena de la playa, su ubicación exacta es el Kilómetro 3 de Avenida las Américas y la 1ra Avenida de Varadero.Este Hotel cumple con los aspectos que caracterizan a los Hoteles Balneario, los que se denominan asi por su ubicación y porque la estancia en ellos occila en varios dias, no se realizan estancias largas.
La entrada del Hotel es muy agradable y cuenta con un excelente estacionamiento el cual está adornado con esculturas de piedra que armonizan con el entorno donde se ubica. Además, hay una parte techada que es donde se estacionan los autos para dejar a los visitantes.

El Hotel tiene una estructura que lo hace muy funcional como se puede apreciar. This hotel has 4 floors, a central building where the reception and the aforementioned folder are located, several living rooms with different seats, in them there are columns crowned with decorations made with plasterboard, which makes them look very nice. There are also shops where they sell souvenirs. On the far right, but more towards the center, there is a bar, where different cocktails, coffee and some snacks are offered.

Este hotel tiene 4 plantas, una edificio central donde se ubica la recepción y la carpeta ya mencionada, varias salas de estar con diferentes asientos, en ellas hay columnas coronadas con unos adornos hechos con pladur, que las hace lucir muy bonitas. También hay tiendas donde venden souvenirs. En el extremo derecho, pero más hacia el centro, hay un bar, donde se ofrecen diferentes cócteles, café y algunos aperitivos.

There are six elevators, two at each end of the central building and two in the center used to get to the upper bedrooms, through the clear glass at the back as you go up you can see the pool and hotel gardens. The design of the gardens is very beautiful where different plants are included, including palm trees that offer a beautiful view.

Hay seis ascensores, dos en cada extremo del edificio central y dos en el centro que se usan para llegar a las habitaciones superiores, a través del cristal transparente en la parte trasera, mientras subes, puedes ver la piscina y los jardines del hotel. El diseño de los jardines es muy bonito donde se incluyen diferentes plantas, entre ellas palmeras que ofrecen una hermosa vista.

At each end of this central building, where the elevators are located, it branches into two wings, with 2 side buildings in a "V" shape, which is where the bedrooms are located, which can be double and triple. On the ground floor to the right is the Buffet Table which is also decorated with plasterboard on the ceilings. On the rest of the floors, like the left side, it is made up of bedrooms.

En cada extremo de este edificio central, donde se encuentran los ascensores, se bifurca en dos alas, con 2 edificios laterales en forma de "V", que es donde se ubican los dormitorios que pueden ser dobles y triples. En la planta baja a la derecha se encuentra la Mesa Buffet que también está decorada con pladur en los techos y columnas negras y blancas. En el resto de plantas, al igual que el lado izquierdo, está formada por dormitorios.

This Hotel has the category of 4 stars which are granted taking into account comfort, that is, the size of the rooms, the pool, if they have television and other amenities in addition to the service. In this case, the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, they have the comforts and furniture in bright colors and well arranged as you can see.

Este Hotel tiene la categoría de 4 estrellas las cuales se otorgan tomando en cuenta la comodidad, es decir el tamaño de las habitaciones, la alberca, si cuentan con televisión y demás comodidades además del servicio. En este caso, las habitaciones son bastante amplias y cómodas, cuentan con las comodidades y los muebles de colores alegres y bien arreglados como podéis ver.

The pool that has a free or naturalistic style, is characterized by being irregular with several entrances, low and deep parts, as well as two bridges, different curves, simulations of islands inside the pool with vegetation, which gives it the appearance of a lake. , it is very big. Its construction is concrete. There are pergolas that give shade to bathers, it is a very cozy atmosphere. At the end of the pool area and gardens is another cafeteria and bar serving those who enjoy the pool.

La piscina que tiene un estilo libre o naturalista, se caracteriza por ser irregular con varias entradas, partes bajas y profundas, así como dos puentes, diferentes curvas, simulaciones de islas dentro de la piscina con vegetación, lo que le da una apariencia de lago, es muy grande. Su construcción es de hormigón. Hay pérgolas que dan sombra a los bañistas, es un ambiente muy acogedor. Al final de la zona de la piscina y los jardines hay otra cafetería y bar que da servicio a los que disfrutan de la piscina.

At the bottom of the pool there is a very large elevated guano ranchón that provides gastronomic service to those who prefer the beach, I love that country style near the sea, it also gives freshness to the place. At the entrance, simulating a curtain, ropes with knots hang, the seats are rustic, I like the combination of guano, wood and light bulbs from the ceiling, the stairs of this fall to the sand.

En el fondo de la piscina hay un ranchón de guano elevado muy grande que brinda servicio gastronómico a los que prefieren la playa, me encanta ese estilo campestre cerca del mar, además le da frescura al lugar. En la entrada, simulando una cortina, cuelgan cuerdas con nudos, los asientos son rústicos, me gusta la combinación de guano, madera y bombillos del techo, las escaleras de este caen a la arena.
