A few weeks ago, my family and I vacationed at the Pasacaballo Hotel. This hotel is located on top of a hill facing the beautiful Bay of Cienfuegos, which allows for a spectacular view from afar. From the front and back of the hotel, you can see the Escambray mountain range. Its location is at the entrance to the bay, at the narrowest part, on the Rancho Luna Road Km 22, Cienfuegos.

The hotel has six floors and 188 rooms. Its architecture is modern and its tropical design is adorned with lots of vegetation and palm trees. It is not a luxurious hotel, but its style is more linked to the environment, which allows us to be very close to nature and appreciate it in all its splendor and keep us away from the tribulations of the city. The landscape that can be appreciated is ideal to share with the family. The rooms are not very spacious, but they are well distributed, clean and harmoniously decorated.
El hotel cuenta con seis pisos y 188 habitaciones. Su arquitectura es moderna y su diseño tropical está adornado con mucha vegetación y palmeras. No es un hotel lujoso, sino que su estilo está más vinculado con el entorno, lo que nos permite estar muy cerca de la naturaleza y apreciarla en todo su esplendor y mantenernos alejados de las tribulaciones de la ciudad. El paisaje que se aprecia es ideal para compartir en familia. Las habitaciones tienen un adecuado confort, no son muy amplias, pero están bien distribuidas, limpias y con una decoración armonizada.

To the right, there is a wide staircase leading to the lobby where the reception is located. It is a fairly large area with comfortable seating and very good lighting.

To the left of the entrance, leaving the built-up area, there is a brown path surrounded by arecas that leads to the large swimming pool. In the lower part, there are some pergolas that provide shade and a nice view. Around the pool, there is vegetation that provides shade for guests sitting on the chairs and tables in the surrounding area. The pool has metal dolphin fins along the edge that help to recirculate the water. In addition, there is some seating under rustic cabanas and a small children's pool with a very childlike design featuring characters from some cartoons.

On the side of the pool, there are two large ranchones with guano roofs, these constructions always capture my attention, it looks so light and firm at the same time, in them where various gastronomic offers are offered. At the entrance of one of them, which is in a high area, there is a sculpture of a seahorse made entirely of horseshoes. In different places, mainly near the swimming pool, there are different animal sculptures that adorn the surroundings and some are among the vegetation.
En el lateral de la piscina, hay dos amplios ranchones con techo de guano, estas construcciones siempre acaparan mi atención, se ve tan ligera y firme a la vez, en ellos se ofrecen diversas ofertas gastronómicas. En la entrada de uno de ellos, que está en una zona alta, hay una escultura de un caballito de mar hecho totalmente de herraduras. En diferentes lugares, principalmente cerca de la piscina, existen diferentes esculturas de animales que adornan el entorno y algunas están entre la vegetación.
The hotel has two restaurants, one of which was closed for repairs. The one that was open has a very nice design in ceilings and walls. There is a large painting that adorns almost an entire wall and several paintings throughout the premises, in addition to the very original lighting system without the need for lamps. The gastronomic offer is very good and varied.

In the center of the hotel, there is a small rustic park with lots of vegetation, where in the center there is a large fountain and Taino figures reminiscent of the natives of the area. The seats in the park were in the shape of large tree leaves.

Going up to the rooftops was a beautiful experience, there are several terraces painted red with large flower beds where they have planted some plants, there was a very particular one that is a cactus but the shape resembled a palm tree. From that height you can appreciate some of the most spectacular views of the bay. In addition, you can also see the pool from above and the mountains and vegetation in the area.

During an excursion that I took in a small boat, together with my son, we crossed that end that forms the canyon of the bay and we were able to observe the hotel from a fishing village called Jagua. It is a pity that the hotel does not offer this service, since it would be an added value and would increase the options of nature tourism.
Durante una excursión que hice en un pequeño bote, junto a mi hijo, cruzamos ese extremo que forma el cañón de la bahía y pudimos observar el hotel desde un poblado de pescadores llamado Jagua. Es una lástima que el hotel no ofrece este servicio, ya que sería un valor añadido y aumentaría las opciones de turismo de naturaleza.
