The most recent Splinterlands update, which took place on February 4, brought with it a new format for you to train your skills and test your strategies at no cost.
I'm talking about Training Grounds, where you will duel against a bot of the level you choose. It replaces Practice mode, which was little used and there was also no customization that could be done. With this new format, you have a lot of freedom to test cards and build strategies to prepare against your opponents in the other game modes. Best of all, you don't lose the Rating you earned in the rankeds.
Simply click on the option in the top right corner Training, which can be found just below your nickname.
This window will then open.
You'll find 3 options for customizing your battle.
The first is the difficulty level of the bot you'll be facing, which varies between easy, medium and hard.
The second option lets you choose which cards will be available in the battle.
If you choose All Cards, you'll be able to play with all the cards that are in your possession, or have been rented or delegated to you.
If you choose Modern, it will work in the same way as above, but limited to the two most recent card collections.
The last two options allow you to play with cards made available by the game. So you'll have them all at your disposal, with no exceptions, the last one being restricted to the Rebellion and Chaos Legion editions only.
Finally, in Summoner Level Caps, you choose the level of the summoners, which will also define the maximum allowed level of all the other cards.
Once this is done, just press the Send button and wait for your opponent to appear. It doesn't usually take long.
As you can see, all the summoners according to the elements enabled for the battle are available. Some of the Dragon element did not appear in the image due to the large quantity available.
I chose the Difficult Hard, with maximum level summoners and Ghost Modern mode. The bot put together an interesting team, but mine turned out to be better.
I won the battle against him, but he gave me some trouble.
I think it's worth using the Training Grounds function to test out new strategies and even new cards, since you can play with absolutely all of them in Ghost mode, and then add the ones you find interesting to your deck to face your opponents.
I also see another benefit, which is to warm up before your daily battles, be they in Rankeds, Tournaments or even Brawls. When we don't play for a while, even if it's just a few hours, we tend to make some basic mistakes in the first few matches, and paying attention to them is important to avoid losing.
It's also very useful for beginners to understand how the game mechanics work, the skills and how they interact with the various cards that will be scattered around the battlefield.
Veterans will also be able to take advantage of it when updates with new abilities and cards arrive in the game, to see how useful it can be for improving their strategies.

Como você pode ver, todos os invocadores de acordo com os elementos habilitados para a batalha, estão disponíveis. Alguns do elemento Dragão não apareceram na imagem por conta da grande quantidade disponível.
Eu escolhi o bot nível Difícil, com invocadores nível máximo e modo Ghost Modern. Ele montou um time interessante, mas o meu acabou sendo melhor.
Venci a batalha contra ele, porém ele deu algum trabalho.
Acredito que valha a pena utilizar a função Training Grounds, para testar novas estratégias e até mesmo novas cartas, já que você pode jogar com absolutamente todas nos modos Ghost, e assim adicionar ao seu deck aquelas que você achou interessante para enfrentar seus adversários.
Também vejo outro benefício, que é o de aquecer antes de suas batalhas diárias, sejam elas em Rankeds, Torneios ou até mesmo nos Brawls. Quando ficamos um tempo sem jogar, mesmo que sejam algumas horas apenas, temos o costume de nas primeiras partidas cometer alguns erros básicos, e estar atento a eles é importante para evitar algumas derrotas.
Além disso, é muito válido de ser utilizado por iniciantes, para entender como funciona a mecânica do jogo, as habilidades e como elas interagem entre as diversas cartas que estarão espalhadas dentro do campo de batalha.
Veteranos também poderão se aproveitar nos momentos em que atualizações com novas habilidades e cartas chegam ao jogo, para ver o quão útil ela pode ser para melhorar suas estratégias.
