We had a plan that we presented at hive fest to create an online course that would bring people to hive without them really realizing it. There was also a component in this course that would allow to generate income from the outside that would profit all the Liotes stakeholders.
We had this plan and then started to test some programs with the community. Unfortunately, these tests were not that positive. We had the choice to either drop the project entirely, to come up with another idea or to still go ahead with it. Since we had invested a lot of time already, we decided to create the project all the same. However, we would maybe not push it as much as we initially planned. The project is now finished and we would like to present it to you.
The Liotes Concept - The easy way to earn crypto
We have created an online course that comprehends a landing page that can be promoted and 10 separate lessons in the form of hive posts.
The whole online course is built on hive. Unfortunately, the video lessons are hosted on Youtube because of the inability to load them to 3speak
Each lesson consists of a video, a transcript of the video, a to do list that asks the student to take some specific actions, a resource list and the navigation to the next and previous lessons. All the actions are supported by a total of 13 tutorials that teach the technical aspects related to these actions.

All the lessons are linked to each other and people can go easily from one lesson to the next thanks to navigation buttons. There is also a main menu with the links to all lessons and tutorials.
What is the idea behind the project?
Basically, people can join this course for free. They are taught how to earn their first cryptos thanks to faucets and similar websites. In a second step they learn how they can transfer their earnings to hive and to invest it into the liotes project. There they are introduced to 3 passive income streams that are provided by hive and liotes. People also learn how they can scale their income thanks to the liotes project.
Through the process of the course, they get familiar with Hive and they start to use it without it being the main focus of the course.
What do people learn in this course?
We wanted to provide a tool that people can use to promote hive. The students learn how to create a hive account over inleo, how to claim their keys, how to use keychain, how to transfer other cryptos to hive, how to power up, how to delegate, how to use liquidity pools and also how to use short form content. We then provide the Liotes community as an entry point for them to get more active on the blockchain.
How you can use the Liotes concept?
If you want to onboard somebody to hive and don't want to explain all the different steps, you can simply lead them to the course over the landing page or directly over the introduction. You can also check the main menu of the course and make them skip some lessons if they are advanced crypto users already.
Bringing users and external income to hive
We believe that the course can be an interesting tool to onboard new users. It shows the most important steps to start with hive without overwhelming them. We would be grateful if you helped us promote it outside of hive.
