Hi all 👋🏻

You must have thought that I got lost along the way… hahaha 🤣 somehow we were lost in blizzards and snow storms for the last week and a half ☃️🌨️🌬️ what made… reaching the outside world… very tricky. 😖 The Wi-Fi in the last 2 accommodations didn’t work due to the weather and being very remote, and my mobile connection was also non existing ☎️
I wanted to update you all so badly 😁 I just had to be patience and wait… toem tie toem… 🕰️ until now 😎

I am connected again… wooohhooooo 📡🌍 🥳 HELLO EVERYBODY 👋🏻😊 I MISSED YOU!
So… let’s start catching up!

PART 5.3 from 11, will be the morning we woke up on the STENALINE FERRY. What is a part of our longgggg journey to our new home 🏡 and country 🗺️

In the 11 parts I share, we will be “driving” ourselves to our new COUNTRY 😊 of residence. Some parts will include some subtle hints, via text or photo 😅😉 so pay attention and see if you can guess where we are heading for!

The Photographs in this post are all taken with my iPhone by me 📱🤓

After waking up… after a longgggg night being awake 90% of it 🤪 😵‍💫 as the sail was anything else then smooth… we were thrown in all directions. Up down, left and right. You name it… it happened… like a rollercoaster 🎢 It was ROUGH LIKE HELL let me tell you 😖😬

I was glad I could lie down on the bed. As I know I would not have handled this journey well sitting up or standing hahaha 🤣

We had this view out before the clock hit 8:00h.
The ferry was still rocking ⛴️🌊⛴️🌊

I decided to check out the decks to see where we are and take in some nice views and fresh air… maybe it would make me feel a bit better.
If you look closely the decks are full of water that goes left to right over it 🌊🌊🌊🌊

This morning is a soft sunset 🌅 very beautiful…

I am not going to close to the edge, as I will be getting very wet 🌊🌊⛴️ hahaha 😂

I made a few videos… but sadly now is not the time that I can upload them. You could have seen how rocky and rough this journey is. It is also very windy 🌬️ at this point. Maybe another time…

Around 7:55h in the morning we see the first bits of land… ok…ok… islands to be precise. Along the coast. What we don’t see yet.

Finally I see land mass… very faint in the distance 😊

More and more is appearing. I love the soft pastel colors of the early morning 🌅

We headed inside and grab some coffees

After a while we went out again as we wanted to see more of the islands and our sail into the harbour.

Little #lighthouses

I see a freight ship 🚢 in the distance 🌊

More land is appearing 😊

We see some buoys to guide the ships 🚢

How cool, imagine how far this thing has to go down in the seabed… the little lighthouse or marker. It is not a buoy.

A little hut/ house on this island 🏝️

Yeah! We see the harbour of our destination. Do you see the cranes 🏗️

I zoom a bit in, we see more ships. I love the haze… you just see the harbour cranes through it appearing. 😎

I see a cute island with a house and lighthouse on it.

Here you can see the deck I am standing on. Some truck drivers waiting until we dock… smoking and on their phones 📱

So cool this little island. Now you see the harbour in the distance also better. It’s 8:30h in the morning here.

I am focussed on this beautiful view 🥰 see how high the wave 🌊 goes…

As we pass by very slowly… and the view changes bit by bit 😁

Beautiful 😊

And we are passed…

As we are getting closer to arriving. We are asked to get our belongings out of the cabins… so we walk back.
We are hit by some very bright colors 😎

We make our way to our car and wait until we can drive off the ferry ⛴️
It’s 9:42h now and we are driving…. Through the holds.

Down we go…. Vroom vroom…

Almost out

I see….

Blue skies 😊

And we are off the ferry. We reached land again. Oh… it feels soooo good to be on land again after 14 long hours on this rocky ferry ⛴️ 😁 you can’t imagine how happy I was 😌

We are in a queue to get out of the ferry terminal.

The foot passengers walk over this bridge out… we drive under.

I see a very tall and long bridge 🌉

Just a little longer….

It’s 10:05h now.

Last part go through the customs 🛃 area.

The sign in the middle of this photo says: WELCOME TO GÖTEBORG

In this part of the journey we reached SWEDEN 🇸🇪
