We found AN OBSERVATION TOWER in FRÖSÖN ~ in Jämtland County, SWEDEN. 🇸🇪 Come and check out the VIEWS around! This tower and café is located on the island Frösön opposite from the city of ÖSTERSUND. We visited on a truly white #WINTERS DAY. ☃️❄️

Zooming out we see it is a large island and Östersund is just right of it.
Let's get up to the tower. The road to it is twisty and turny and rather steep in places. The road is covered with ice and a thick layer of snow ❄️
At the bottom of this road we got out of the car and looked around.
We see this view.
Half way up we get out again to take in more views around us as they are stunning 🤩
This landscape, covered by so much snow makes the views magical. The little cabins and houses covered in it too. A true winter wonderland ☃️
After we reached the top, we found an empty parking lot and parked our car. 🚗
I notice right away these beautiful trees 🌲🌲🌲 Covered in so much snow ❄️
Let’s look closer at them, so beautiful 🌲
Behind us we see the observation tower. Underneath it the coffee shop. Sadly it is closed for the winter, as is also the tower. We visited out of season. 😕
I looked at the gate and it was shut, so we can’t enter the tower. There is no way to go around it.
But that is no problem for us.
We just walk around a bit and see what else we can #discover today. We see this large sign with diverse trails starting here at the highest part. We are at the red dot 🔴
Walking towards the edge, we lookout over the island and in the distance we see the city of #Ostersund.
Zooming in for you. It is a bit misty in the distance.
Still the views are lovely 🥰 in the snow ⛄️
Next to the sign there is a little cabin. We see snowmobile tracks going along it. Some of the trails we saw on the sign are for snowmobiles. Maybe even for skiing 🎿
I walk along the road a bit back and call to you. Come have a look 😊 isn’t it stunning? The dark wood against all the snow. A shame the sky isn’t blue, it would have made some awesome contrasting photos. But I am pretty happy with this view too 😇
Next to us we see that the icy road down will be very steep again. So we have to drive carefully when we leave this highest part of the island.
Back at the parking lot I see more trees 🌲 a walking and cycling path disappears between them. Don’t think it is cleared.
How can I not take more photographs of these stunning trees covered in the snow. ❄️

A snowy branch with the view out into the distance 😊
This lonely building, it almost looks like a research center with the tower next to it. I see little satellites 📡 and antennas on it.
This scene looks almost like it could have been seen / captured on the North Pole. Very otherworldly… I like this capture a lot too. What do you think? 😊
