When I stumbled upon this little greenhouse full of succulents 🥰

in #hive-1838412 years ago

Hi all 👋🏻

Today I want to share with you all a selection of photographs I took in a little GREENHOUSE when I visited a private garden in the UK that was open for the public on certain days by appointment.

The location of this garden was Kettering - Barton Seagrave in England.

Another post were you see the rest of this garden you find here: In this post! it tells you also more about the garden scheme. I won’t repeat here. 🤓

I just love plants, but my favourites have always been succulents. At the moment I only have 2 at home… but I used to have a jungle 🥰 plants everywhere.

Due to us moving countries and many other moves in the last 4 years I have not many plants at home at the moment.
A big continental move is coming up so I won’t add to my collection now as they can’t come with me. But once that move is done, we settle down and I start a garden again outside and my jungle inside… with many many plants including succulents. 😉🪴🌱🌵so I will post more about it all then, how I start my garden etc. 🥰 so please bear with me in the meanwhile.

So for now, I enjoy all your posts and visit other peoples gardens, greenhouses and garden centres 😉🥰 to still my hunger for getting more plants… as that is hard every time I see some in shops hehehe 🤭

All my photos are taken with my #iPhone on 19 April 2022.

Let’s have a look around at this cute small greenhouse, full of succulents 🪴😎

The amount of succulents is vast and I won’t name them in this post, as there are too many. Enjoy…

The owners name is ELAINE, as you can see in the photos.

High up and in the back you see seedlings next to all her succulents. She will put them out in the garden soon.

A view to the right…

View to the left…

She keeps a close eye on the temperature.

Some are flowering…

Once we moved, I am going to build a cute greenhouse like this… I got so much inspiration here.
Can’t wait 😎

In a corner we find this plant…

And this ladder with some succulents an sign with text in the garden I just had to include.

And with this last Photo, I want to say… that’s all for today, join me in my next posts for more #adventures, #stories and #photographs” 😎👋🏻 Even some #artworks once in a while will come by 🎨
Thank you so much for looking, and reading. And if you liked my post, an upvote or re-blog is always welcome 🙏🏻

Have a great day all 😎👋🏻

That’s stunning. My mind is blown. How can people build such impressive displays without them looking cluttered or messy then keep it pristine? Ever been on a NGS tour? We did one in a village recently and it was immense, several gardens and it took us five hours to see them all. Some gardens were massive and even the smaller ones had tonnes of content and people to chat to. Hope they do it again next year.

I know… I was thinking exactly the same. It looked perfect in every way.
This was part of the NGS tour, the rest of this garden you find in the link I included in the text 😉
We were visiting hubbies family in England and joined them one day on a tour with a group of their friends.
They told us all about it and how it works. I like things like this, that people open up their gardens… give you a tour and explain all about it.
To bad we live abroad hehehe 🤭 here they don’t have anything like that.

Sounds like you had an amazing time there @nicklewis 😊
Have a great Friday further!

I’m glad it was the same kind of thing. One of the gardens we came across featured a South African type Braii (I think that’s how it’s spelt) and in his greenhouse, it was aquaponics central and that was fascinating. He had all kinds of technology running it. I was blown away. Then there was the family with a train network, miniatures of course running around their garden. Then there was the farmhouse garden with a natural swimming pool and a dance studio the size of some peoples homes in it. I am pretty sure there was a Ferrari in the barn too.

O wow 🤩 that sounds amazing @nicklewis
I’m interested in the whole aquaponics systems, as I would like to inter grade it in my future garden.
The natural pool sounds amazing too.
Yes, you can come across some pretty cool things, visiting those gardens 😎 thanks for sharing with me.

I know very little and not sure where her we’ll set up our own or not. However it sure is mega fascinating.

You can learn so much nowadays on-line and videos etc.
I’m also interested in the whole earth ships, they often have those systems integrated.
You can go all over the world to help build a place like that and learn in the process…
Who knows.
It is mega interesting indeed @nicklewis

I looked up earth ships, well I never knew about them before. I’ve gained some new knowledge there!

That’s cool you looked it up.
They are amazing and can be fully off grid 😉🤓 happy to hear that @nicklewis
Enjoy your Friday 👋🏻☀️

Wow - such a pretty greenhouse. It makes me want one too ! Maybe when my wife and I retire !

😊 Yip it really has and the year to grow vegetables or something like succulents in the open plot next to my house has resurfaced after reading your post 😊It will take hard work to clear the overgrown area first though 🥴😅

That has to be succulent addict heaven!.... What a beautiful place... What a beautiful variety of plants so meticulously planted and cared for.... It's a beautiful thing to see... And you - as usual - have given us an excellent glimpse into that corner of magic!.... Thanks for sharing!

It sure looks like that @jlinaresp 😊😎 succulent heaven hahaha 🤣
I loved visiting this place and get so much inspiration for my future garden and the greenhouse I want to built 😎
Thank you so so much my friend 😊 much appreciated! Happy to share 🤓
Have a great evening!

How beautiful it is. I don't really k ow too many names of plants and flowers but I love them. I'm trying to learn their different names but it's just difficult because I can't find someone who can teach me.

I hope you get to have your own greenhouse soon, that way I will be able to see more of these beautiful flowers and plants 😍😍, then maybe learn some of their names from you 🙈🙈.

Thank you so much @hopestylist 😊😎
That that is the beautiful thing about HIVE we can learn from each other…
And I’m happy to teach you the names and different flowers and plants once I have settled down after our big move. Starting a veggie, fruit and herb garden too… and many other green plants like succulents inside.
Hope it will be soon, so far we are still dealing with delays 😉🤓 but we will get there 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yes Ma'am Jackie, you are absolutely right. Hive has given us a very unique opportunity to learn from each other and know some things that won't have been easy to know.

I just hope you move soon so I can start growing my knowledge about plants and flowers, it will be really fun.

How is your health? Hope it's much better than yesterday? Now thinking about it, if you are moving to a new place, that means you won't have issues with bad air-conditions right? 🙃.

It does give us that opportunity and I know already many people here that want to share their knowledge 😎🤓

Let’s hope and fingers crossed. That big move will take a while still… as we are in the middle of delays.

Our move end of this month is because of the living conditions in this apartment. We decided last weekend we move out end of the contract. Which is end of the month. So we could stay a few days longer… until we move to another house. 5 September. Sooo it is packing boxes 📦 this month.
This move will improve my health for sure. And it has working appliances and a/c even a fire place for the winter. 🤩 we can rent it for 10 months.
It is just an extra unplanned move in between.

Still recovering, but better than yesterday. I’m improving 🥳🥳💃🏻💃🏻🤞🏻So happy about that.

the display were all beautifully arranged. very nice color. Love it

Thanks @hollowins 😊😎 I loved discovering all the plants and pots everywhere, nicely arranged.
Have a wonderful day further 👋🏻☀️

You're welcome. Good day!

Thanks a lot 🙏🏻👋🏻 Enjoy yours.

Today I want to share with you all a selection of photographs I took in a little GREENHOUSE when I visited a private garden in the UK that was open for the public on certain days by appointment.

I’m starting to think the UK is a home for succulents now. I read about succulents just last week from @livinguktaiwan. I’m sure she’ll want to see this. But If I see one more blog from someone from UK about succulents, let the history books reflect that UK is home for all succulents:)

Those are very beautiful succulents btw. And great photos! I see wallpaper potential here:)

Hahaha that made me chuckle @depressedfuckup 😉😎
I just visited the UK a couple of months ago… but I know a lot of people there that do have succulents.
But also here in Spain you see them a lot 🤩 I think they are rather sturdy and live in all kind of different climates.

Thanks so much 😊 much appreciated!
Have an amazing Friday 👋🏻☀️

I just put Spain on my lookout radar for succulent lovers haha

Have an amazing Friday yourself:)

Cool… 😎
Thank you kindly 😊 enjoy yours 👋🏻
