Overview
Today I brought a Wild battle, where I will use my favorite Summoner from the Water Splinter, because he is quite powerful and increasing the magic attack of his monsters, which is the strongest attack type in the whole game.
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Rise of the Commons | Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles. |
Reverse Speed | Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. |
Explosive Weaponry | All Monsters have the Blast ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 49, which is more than enough to try and assemble a team to take advantage of the Explosive Weaponry ruleset. This ruleset is one of the best in the game, but it requires careful consideration when you are building up your lineup. What it means is all the monsters will have the Blast ability on the battlefield, so they will deal extra damage to the adjacent monsters of their target. 😊
The Rise of the Commons will only allow the use of the Common and Rare monsters, so it is a bit more tricky to setup my lineup, because the available monster pool will be heavily reduced.
The Reverse Speed ruleset will change the speed mechaincs upside down for this battle, because the slower or lower the speed of a monster the more quicker will be and dodge more incoming attacks. 😜
My lineup
Alric Stormbringer is an excellent Summoner from the Water Splinter who cost only three mana and he increases the magic damage by one to all of his friendly monsters, which is the strongest attack type in the game. 😇 | |
Arkemis the Bear is an amazing tank, because he has a lot of health and he has quite a good melee attack damage, but more importantly he has the Protect ability, which will give +2 armor to all of his friendly mosnters as long as he is alive. 😆 | |
The Prismatic Energy is quite expensive with his 8 mana, but luckily I do not need to worry about that under the current mana cap. He has quite a lot of health as a Rare monster and that is why I used him as my off-tank in case my main tank dies. He has the magic reflect ability, which will allow him to reflect some of the enemy magic attacks back to their attacker. 😌 | |
The Captain's Ghost is quite similar to the Prismatic Energy and their difference is that he has the Affliction ability, which means if he hit his target and managed to proc the 50% chance to activate this ability than his target will be unable to get Heal. The Captain's Ghost is very slow, which is amazing in the Reverse Speed ruleset. 🤗 | |
The Venari Wavesmith is an old timer, because that was the first card I ever bought when I started playing Splinterlands long time ago. He cost only 5 mana and doesn't have too much damage, but his ability to provide +2 armor to his allies makes him truly special. 😎 | |
I used the Riverboat Captain as a magic attack damage dealer, so he will hit his target under their armor. Even though he naturally has the Blast ability, he has +2 magic attack from level one. 😋 | |
The Sea Genie has the exact same role like my Riverboat and the only difference is that he is able to Fly, which means that he will have +25% chance of evading an incoming melee or ranged attack. 😇 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Mother Khala, who is a basic Summoner, which means that she is quite cheap costing only three mana and providing +1 health to all of his friendly monsters.
In the first round my team easily killed their magic attack Janni Rebel, because for some reason my opponent used her in the first position. Just before the first round finished my Arkemis took a lot of damage and sadly lost his life, but at least my Prismatic Energy killed their overpowered Drybone Barbarian and their Venari Marksrat with his Blast damage. 😆
In the third round my monsters were slower on paper, which meant that they was much quicker than my opponent monsters, because of the Reverse Speed ruleset and they easily killed two of their ranged attack monster.
Only their Sand Worm left on the battlefield who killed my Prismatic Energy, but soon after my four monster who remained in my team killed their last monster in the fifth round. 😇
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked as I expected, because my mostly magic attack team managed to deal a lot of damage under the enemy armors while my three high health monsters at my front was soaking up most of the damage from the enemy team. 🤗
