On Saturday, April 9th 2022 took place the 19th rowing race around Utrecht's city centre. As explained in the SSF Utrecht website:

The race takes the Roeier from the auction harbor over the Merwede Canal via the Vaartse Rijn to the Stadsbuitengracht, through the characteristic Oudegracht and via the Vaartse Rijn back to the final goal, the historic Veilinghaven next to the Jaarbeurs.

We came across the race by chance, while going for a walk around Utrecht's historical centre, and took a few pictures. I could not find out the name of this rowboat. Does anybody know?

Welcome back! Haven't seen a post in a while but this is interesting as ever!

I grew up around a heated rivalry between Cambridge(my home town) and Oxford's rowing teams. Can you believe, that you can get into either of those universities for being one of the best at rowing?

Hi, @elmerlin! Thank you! Indeed, I'm back - or trying to... I started on a new job this April, and I couldn't find time to post on hive. I'll try to correct that and post at least three times a week - at least some photos on @liketu I must be able to publish!

Even I heard about the rivalry between Oxford and Cambridge in Rowing! But that might be because my sister is a rowing fanatic... I never did it, though, but it looked like fun to row on these old rowboats from the Utrecht race.
