Some battles are fought between elemental forces only and high spirits ban all sorts of outside support. These battles are not easy to fight, but if you know the war tactics of old times, there are good chances of winning even a lost battle.
The scuffle between Lobb Lowland and Obsidian on a piece of forest land turns bloody when Obsidian goons try to assassinate Lobb. Now, he is furious and calls upon Quora Towershead to finish this quarrel once and for all. Lobb rushed to House Obsidian and called her to come out and fight with honor and the winner would take the forest land ownership.
Taking Sides
When a battle appears with the "Taking Sides" rule, players cannot use neutral monsters or summoners in a battle, they can only use elemental monsters.
Additional Rulesets: Equal Opportunity
This ruleset applies Opportunity ability on all monsters, any monster with this ability will attack any unit with the lowest health, and this ability only works from a backline position.
BATTLE LINEUP
23 Mana is given for this battle, so I decided to go for an Epic Gladiator card, 1 martyr card, and 1 ranged card.

STRATEGY
My strategy was to use a gladiator card with heal and dual strike, that would kill a low-health unit and increase the stats. There were two other units that I used as bait and to buy some time for the gladiator unit. The summoner used in this battle would remove 1 speed point from all enemy units, it would allow my units to attack first.
There was a Martyr unit that would enhance the stats of the gladiator card upon his death and another ranged unit would take some damage from the opponent's Opportunity monsters. The gladiator unit would take advantage of increased attack damage and could be able to kill 2 monsters in 1 round.
Basically, it is a Pump-Up-Some-Power strategy where gladiator cards become quite strong and each time they kill a unit they seem strong enough to clear off an entire battle lineup of the opponent.
Summoner and Monsters in Action
Lobb Lowland brings the finest warrior from the arena into ranked battles using his Constrictor ability and also reduces the speed of all enemy units by 1 point. He is a rare summoner and hails from Earth element, he requires 6 mana for a summoner's slot.
Fungus Flinger is a common Earth unit with Martyr ability, he is always ready to die for his companions and his death brings might and strength to those who stand beside him.
Quora Towershead is the queen of the Praetorian arena and belongs to Earth faction, she is both a master swordswoman and element conjurer. She can heal herself during a fight and increase her stats when kills an enemy unit. Sometimes, she jumps into a battle all alone and destroys all enemy units without any backline support.
Barking Spider is a common Earth unit, he has no special ability but he possesses good health and speed. He is used as bait in this battle so Quora can have some time to become strong enough to easily remove all enemy units.

BATTLE COMMENTARY
Obsidian sends power waves from her staff to all her magic units, they have +1 magic attack now.
Lobb Lowland sneezes very aggressively and sprays his mucus on all enemy units, as a result, they lose one speed point.
Round 1
Regal Peryton with high speed starts the battle and injures Fungus Flinger, "Fungus dies, Fungus gives power." says Fungus Flinger in a joyful tone.
"I crave blood, I kill for strength." shouts Quora Towershead and easily kills Mycelic Morphoid with her magic attack.
Centauri Mage wraps Fungus Flinger with killer vines and scolds him to death, "Oops, my bad, I should kill him, now Quora will be a nemesis for us." and she regrets seeing Quora gain more strength and healing power.
Round 2
Quora looks at Hill Giant and whispers "They shouldn't send you to battle, they actually tricked you to die here, but I have to kill you."
Quora blasts Hill Giant with powerful magic and slits his throat with her gladius, and moves on to Centauri Mage.
Barking Spiders hit Regal Peryton and just bruised him, but later Djinn Biljka turns to him and passes dryad branches across his torso killing him with immense pain.
Round 3
Quora addresses Centauri Mage with respect "Ma'am, I am really sorry that I have to eliminate you, Lobb needs your head not me, sorry again." and zaps her with a magic attack and beheads her as Lobb orders her.
Rounds 4
"Now, don't blame me you winged gazelle and woody Djinni when I send you to hell." and she hurls a magic bomb over to Regal Peryton and then chops Djinn Biljka in small firewood pieces.
She takes a deep breath and calls Lobb Lobb, Congrats, the land is yours now, leaving for Arena, k, bye."
STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS
It is a good lesson for our new Splinterlands players that when there is a battle with the "Equal Opportunity" rule, they should create a few baits for protecting the main card, in my case Quora Towershead, and this will allow the main card to survive for longer and grow stats.
The opponent used 5 cards with a total of 9 damage points, if there was only Quora in this battle, there could be the possibility of losing the battle, but I kept my cards to redirect their attacks on monsters with the lowest health, meanwhile, Quora did the same and enhanced her stats.
The strategy proved to be a success and I grabbed a victory against a powerful opponent using Martyr and Quora together. There is a possibility to replace Barking Spider with any other 4 Mana Earth unit, but considering the 6 health points, I think it is the best option.
