After a long time, I thought about doing a Clean Planet Walk again tonight. So I grabbed my garbage tongs and a garbage bag and wandered into the neighboring nature reserve and country road. Found and picked up I once again some garbage that was carelessly thrown into nature. A bicycle lock, plastic bags, plastic bottles, cigarette packs and plastic packaging I have found and picked up.
As you can see, is already again quite good what landed in the garbage bag... What I find very pity. What I'm happy about but that I have found hardly to no garbage on the edge of the path of the nature reserve.
While I'm walking along the country road, a lady on a bicycle stopped behind me and asked me why I'm picking up trash. I love these little discussions and conversations with people who approach me and ask why I do that. I told the lady that I do this for my own free moves, write about it, make a little money but most of all like to get away from the computer and get out in nature to exercise and get some air.
The lady was excited about what I was saying and pointed out a major pollution issue. She said that there is a fallen tree in the creek where plastic garbage collects and next to it a bucket, bottles and other garbage have accumulated. On my way back I went to the spot and could confirm this. Unfortunately I didn't manage to catch the garbage out of the water but at least I was able to clean up the garbage next to it and take it with me. I will probably go to the creek again shortly and try to get the trash out of the water.
