I must say that this morning I woke up very relaxed. However, my classic ritual as soon as I wake up could not be missing, that is to drink an excellent cup of coffee!
Strangely today while I was enjoying it I wondered what the origins of this excellent drink were, so I did some research and now I will share it with you.
Legend has it that in Kefa, Ethiopia, a shepherd noticed his flock much more toned while grazing near these shrubs later called Coffea. From there, it was soon grown in the nearby Arabian peninsula.
The first coffee pot was found in the 15th century in a monastery in Yemen.
In Europe until the eighteenth century it was very rare and consequently it was very expensive, then slowly its cultivation expanded to Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil.
In the 20th century it was the third most important export product in the world, the first being cereals and sugar.
In the 11th century it became the most traded product in the world preceded only by oil.
VARIETY OF COFFEE

90 varieties were invented but in the end the most important are exclusively 2:
ARABICA, its flowers self-fertilize, the taste is sweeter, it is the most used variety.
CANEPHORA much more bitter taste and higher concentration of caffeine
IN ITALY THE HEART OF COFFEE IS IN NAPLES

The first sources of the arrival of coffee in Naples date back to 1600, but it is claimed that it arrived earlier. But only around 1800 was there the invention of the "cuccumella", the typical Neapolitan filter coffee maker.
The Parisian Morize will invent it.
The custom of the "SUSPENDED COFFEE" dates back to Naples in which you pay in advance for a coffee that will be consumed by the next customer.
Guys what to say, I really think that now I'll drink another nice cup of coffee!

Io devo dire che questa mattina mi sono svegliata molto rilassata.
Non poteva però mancare il mio classico rituale appena sveglia, ossia bere un ottima tazza di caffè!
Stranamente oggi mentre lo gustavo mi sono chiesta quali fossero le origini di questa ottima bevanda, quindi ho fatto qualche ricerca e ora la condividero' con voi.
La leggenda narra che in Kefa, in Etiopia, un pastore notò il suo gregge molto più tonificato mentre pascolava vicino a questi arbusti chiamati successivamente Coffea.
Da lì ben presto si iniziò a coltivarlo nella vicina penisola arabica .
La prima caffettiera fu ritrovata nel XV secolo in un monastero dello Yemen.
In Europa fino al XVIII era molto raro e di conseguenza era molto costoso, poi pian piano la sua coltura si espanse in Venezuela, Cuba, Brasile.
Nel XX secolo fu il terzo prodotto per esportazione più importante al mondo, i primi ero i cereali e lo zucchero.
Nel XI secolo diviene il prodotto più commercializzato al mondo preceduto solo dal petrolio.
VARIETÀ DI CAFFÈ

Ne furono inventate 90 varieta' ma alla fine le più importanti sono esclusivamente 2:
ARABICA, i suoi fiori si autofecondano, il gusto è più dolce, è la varieta' più usata.
CANEPHORA sapore molto più amaro e maggiore concentrazione di caffeina

Le prime fonti dell' arrivo del caffè a Napoli risalgono nel 1600, ma si sostiene sia arrivato in precedenza.
Ma solo verso il 1800 ci fu l' invenzione della "cuccumella" , la tipica caffettiera napoletana a filtro. Ad inventarla sarà il parigino Morize.
A Napoli risale l' usanza del "CAFFÈ SOSPESO" nel quale si paga in anticipo un caffè che verrà consumato dal cliente successivo.
Ragazzi che dire, credo proprio che ora mi berro' un' altra bella tazza di caffè!
