Hi hi, all my friends.. how are you?
I was traveling around town and went to eat at this long-standing restaurant. It has been a while since I last ate here and the first thing I noticed while I was eating here was that the owner has already changed. Has the food changed?
YONG HO RESTAURANT
This restaurant serves food inspired by the Taiwan culture. This is one of the last standing restaurants here that is still open for business. Many of the shops in this same block have already closed down. The shop still looks the same and is a time capsule of how restaurants used to look here in Miri.
The open-air kitchen
It's amazing to see what the kitchen looks like. See how they work while waiting for the food to arrive.
This restaurant is located in a strategic part of the city. Just in the area where tourists are likely to visit if they come to Miri. One of the problems here is the parking that is hard to find. Not much parking area. There is a parking lot behind this area that is private so everyone who parks there has to pay some fee.
Fried Roti with cheese and egg inside
This is one of those dishes that you have to try here at this restaurant and this is one of its flagship dishes here. The roti is quite crispy and the cheese inside melts.
Fried dough with salad and tuna inside. This is a creamy dish.
This is delicious. The creamy tuna.
KOLO MEE
I ordered this. The Kolo Mee. Noodles that have been boiled in boiling water for a while and then placed in a bowl with lots of delicious flavors. This is one of the most addictive dishes out there. The last bits are the best. After a while of eating, you slowly dig through the last bits.
Dessert in a bowl
Glutinous rice balls with red beans. This is a type of dessert that is delicious.
The last photo of the restaurant. I wonder if this place is going to still exist in the future. It will be saved in the internet archives for the future. This is a place to visit if you do visit Miri in the future.
Thank you very much for reading this post.
