Hi, my friends. This is going to be a very crispy post today. There is a new restaurant in Miri, and it is popular. This restaurant serves Muslim-friendly food.
LEPAK SAMA NANYANG CAFE
The English meaning is a cafe for you to just hang out together.
So what have I ordered? From the picture, you already noticed that it looks quite crispy, isn't it?
Crispy Chicken steak
This is a plate of Chicken Steak from Lepak Sama. There is also a mash potato and the sauce on top of it is Mushroom sauce. The chicken steak here is crispy. Superbly.

That is the owner. He looks quite young. A lot of young entrepreneurs here in Miri.
This is the coffee
A cup of wonderfully brewed coffee with a delicious taste. The texture looks quite dark, so this means the coffee is thick. I usually request for reduced sugar or sugarless with less ice. Just enough ice to make this cup of coffee cool enough to drink but not too sweet. Just the right amount of bitterness.
So what does this taste like? The chicken is super duper crispy. The rice is made with chicken oil.
The next bowl was what my wife ordered.
A bowl of delicious dessert. There is jelly, some sago, pearl, tapioca, and many more.
This dish is delicious. The glutinous rice is the main ingredient for the small bits of purple. Then, there are the chewy pearls (made of tapioca starch). Chewy.
A nice little place to enjoy the food. It is worth to come here again some time in the not so distant future.
This place is located in the Marina Times Square area of Miri. This is the view from the second floor. This is a popular place for the youth of Miri and many new restaurants and shops have set up shop in this area.
