Once a bustling hub of activity, Times Square Mall now stands as a haunting reminder of changing times. This mall was built a couple of years ago but has already lost a lot of customers. I guess one of the reasons is that the mall is far from the city area and Bintulu doesn't have many tourists visiting the city. This mall tells a story of rapid urban growth, economic shifts, and changing consumer tastes. Let's visit
TIMES SQUARE MALL IN BINTULU
I was there in the evening and the first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. I am not sure if this mall will still exist in the coming few years. I love to photograph places like this in case in the future it doesn't exist.
LEVI'S is here
I don't always buy jeans these days. I have lots of sports pants. One question I had while I was here at this mall.
It feels different to be in a mall.
Kentucky Fried Chicken
The emptiness. One thing that this place was
There are some drinks stalls here and some desserts. But there wasn't anyone buying stuff here.
Padini concept store
This is one of the most popular stores in Malaysia but it has closed due to lack of customers.
My wife
We did some exploring and the upper floors were quite empty too.
The basement
The supermarket is located on the same floor as the car park. I guess, this makes it easy to buy groceries and later push them into the car.
While I was car park, I noticed the white cars in the parking lot.
The whole row of white-colored cars parked in reverse.
The supermarket section of this is amazing. So many stuff to choose from. One of the best things to buy here is definitely the chocolate section.
There is everything you need.
The trolley all neatly arranged in a whole row. Well organized. This section of the mall still had lots of people shopping here.
Thank you very much for reading this post. This is another post about malls being abandoned. We love malls but sometimes, malls can go out of date.
