"5 Thoughts..." is one my recent ink drawings, from my Lyme ink series. It is a 9" x 12" ink on Canson paper.
"5 Thoughts in the back of your mind" describes the modern demand of multitasking, something that became a norm imposed by our society. We aim to increase efficiency by all means, and we neglect to realize that it takes a toll on mental health.
By adding stress to our daily life, we harm not only out productivity but also our creativity, motivation, mood and many more.
We need to breakout of this multitasking habit and relearn to enjoy to do things simply, one at the time. Like the old times...
Recent neurological studies revealed that switching rapidly between tasks (no matter how fun or attractive they might be, for those who are lucky enough to have a job requiring to perform such tasks) can tire the brain and make one less efficient.
So, we need to take it easy and enjoy the ride, if we want to reach the final destination, without popping in and out too often in the psy' office or the ER!
