Hi all,

Introduction

Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊

This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of gameplay, strategy, comparison with other cards, and a market analysis of its price. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into in this series, and your support is much appreciated!
In this edition I will be looking at the Regal Peryton.

Comparative Analysis

How does this card compare to other similar ones?

Vs. Mycelic Slipspawn (Earth): Slipspawn has Taunt and higher Health, making it a better tank, while Regal Peryton provides evasion and speed-based Magic damage.
Vs. Djinn Apprentice (Fire): Djinn Apprentice has Deathblow at Level 6, giving it burst potential, while Regal Peryton is more evasive and harder to hit.
Vs. Venari Spellsmith (Neutral): Venari Spellsmith offers Amplify, making it useful in Thorns and Magic Reflect strategies, whereas Regal Peryton focuses purely on survivability and damage output.

Key Takeaway
Regal Peryton is a fast, evasive Magic attacker that scales well with Speed and survivability. Its Flying ability makes it a great counter against Melee and Ranged attackers, especially in Earth Magic-based teams.

Synergies

Best Pairings:
Obsidian (Earth Splinter): Grants +1 Magic Attack, making Regal Peryton a high-speed, high-damage attacker.
Mycelic Slipspawn (Earth Splinter): Acts as a frontline tank with Taunt, keeping Regal Peryton safe in the backline.
Spirit of the Forest (Earth Splinter - Wild Format): Grants Snipe and Healing, further enhancing its evasion and support potential.
Quix the Devious (Dragon Splinter): Reduces enemy Speed, making Regal Peryton even harder to hit.

Splinter Synergies:
Earth Splinter: Works well under Obsidian, as it benefits from the Magic attack boost.
Dragon Splinter: Can be used effectively with Quix the Devious to slow down enemy teams.
Water Splinter (if allowed by ruleset): Can be used with Kelya Frendul for extra Speed and Armor.

Ruleset Performance

Favorable Rulesets:
Earthquake: Since it has Flying, it takes no damage from Earthquake, making it a strong pick.
Reverse Speed: Its high Speed is a disadvantage here, but at lower levels, it can still work.
Fog of War: Since Sneak and Snipe are disabled, it remains safe in the backline.

Challenging Rulesets:
Noxious Fumes: Lacks Immunity or Self-Heal, making it vulnerable without a healer.
Lost Magic: Completely disables it, making it unplayable.

Market Analysis

Price Overview
Regular Foil: $0.10–$0.15 per BCX
Gold Foil: $2.00–$3.50 per BCX

Investment Potential
A solid Magic attacker with strong evasion, making it valuable in Earth teams.

Conclusion

Regal Peryton is a speedy and evasive Magic attacker, excelling in dodge-based strategies and Earthquake rulesets. While it lacks abilities beyond Flying, its high Speed and Health make it a difficult target. Now tradeable, it remains a key piece in Earth Magic teams and a great mid-mana investment.
