It takes a while for a small town like where I am living now to catch up with trends but finally, I can find french pastries and cake in town. I came to know about the place about a month ago. It was recently opened in a former coffee shop that is now out of business.
When I visited, the baker a.k.a its owner were busy preparing the cakes and the pastries. I got to talk to her because I was mentioning that in google maps, the place was still marked as the previous coffee shop. So, I got to talk a bit and was asking around about her shop that was recently opened. I told her that I hope she makes more sales and eventually pairing it with a coffee too since they used to be a coffee shop and was more known for it.
When I looked at the glass, I was pleasantly surprised that she even sells crombolini and stick puffs. There were also two types of croissant, the original and the cheese one that is typically my favorite. I was definitely ecstatic to finally find a decent croissant that looks well-made.
At the same time, I love the aesthetic of the place that was minimal but it makes you feel nice entering the place. Picture this, you just came back from pilates, getting flowers, and finally getting these freshly baked goodies. The place seems to cater to females more than male but it was really pleasant in all five senses. It looks good, smells good, and the background noise is just enough to make us feel good inside the place. When a place tickles almost all of your five senses, you know it must’ve been good.
I got their matcha crombolini and their croissant, it was one of the best decisions I made. I ended up coming back a few times to eat their french pastries and tried a few more pastries. Typically, I eat them on the weekend as a reward for a good week and feeling like I deserve something sweet and powers me through the next week.
At home, I was pairing it with an iced latte and it feels like I am already going to a coffee shop and having this delicious pastry. Would you like a bite?
