Self Growth & Discovery (90 Day Challenge) Week 10

If I am being honest, 90 Days feels like forever.

I didn’t stop counting, and I continued tracking my habits. I almost forgot why I started all these, and today, I’d like to remind myself that it’s more than just about losing weight. I’ve transformed my life in ways I could never imagine. One is increasing my confidence and willingness to do the hard things, as well as putting in the work of things I wanted in life.

When I first started this journey, all I wanted was to pick four things to focus on and work on.

As time went by, I ended up adding a habit that I am fostering, such as “No Screen During Meals”. When you see it, that habit is actually pretty menial. Still, I’ve actually found some benefits to not having screens during my meal time. First, I got some breaks on the screen, and second, I was able to stop procrastinating and not prolong my meal time. Back when I was eating and watching Netflix or YouTube, a meal time that was supposed to be less than 30 minutes turned into an hour ordeal. Nowadays, I’ve saved quite some time, and my mealtime has become something that is just a mealtime.

It would be difficult not to call these 90 days an attempt to lose weight, but I can see how they revolve around that. At this point, I’ve lost 17 pounds through continuous workouts and watching what I eat.

To be honest, I don’t really feel much difference other than getting more efficient at my workout. Maybe I’ll reap the rewards in some ways, and I could thank myself for living healthier and staying away from diseases.

I’ve had some of my worst moments in weeks 2-3 since those are the crucial times when you decide whether to pursue this road or quit.

It wasn’t easy, and I had a lot of battles with my thoughts. As you know, our brain likes comfort, and nothing about working, reading daily, or staying away from overeating was comfortable for my body at the time. The thing is, I made it this far and am still continuously updating my blog weekly.

I’ve had my plateaus as well but unlike the old me, I still wrote them out here, no shame and guilt, I just do better next week and voila, another pound drop.

If you’re on a journey of losing weight and living healthier, I think a 23-pound or 10-kg weight loss in 3 months or 90 days is pretty much possible. I really didn’t set any numbers when I started it, but in the next 90 days, I’ll try to reach some type of number goal.

The magic of it all is that everything I’ve done now is a lot more automatic. I don’t have to force myself to work, read, or do anything in my habit tracker list; I simply just do them.

One thing that I still struggle with, though, is writing blogs; as much as I want to do them daily, sometimes I have nothing to say or think it’s not worth publishing, haha. So, I tried just to keep them off somewhere and put them off for later when my brain could work on them again.

I really hope I am getting better at that part to add more consistency to this page, too. Since my 90 days are nearing their end, I am currently thinking about which aspects of my life I can improve or if I can add something else to my habits.

Last but not least, I’m really proud of the hard work I did, and and I can’t wait to see where this path leads me next!

Congratulations! This is inspiring. I just lost another 1 kg after three days so I am inspired to continue. :D

hehehe keep at it! just make sure you're still eating well too 😊

Yes, I am eating well. I am trying not to eat so much. Unfortunately, my metabolism is not the same as before. I used to eat a lot before pregnancy.

ooh did you also log in your food and count your TDEE?

I don't log in my food, I don't count my TDEE. I am just minimizing my food intake or I am trying to get back to my normal food intake when I was younger. Because here in France, I've been always eating a lot like for two people. Phew.

oooh good luck! I know you can do it 😊

I like the way you've set out your habit tracker. That's a good idea!

hahaha yes, it's what simply works for me after years of trial and error 😅

It's nearly time for my new moleskine diary - I'll probably buy one on Saturday. I can start drawing little charts 😂

Hello friend, congratulations for taking this big step and it is something that can only be achieved and done by yourself, where it can be difficult, you will be lazy or even the previous habits can be very big, but everything is in the motivation and how you carry it out. excellent control and I am sure that you will be able to achieve what you set out to do @macchiata

😅 That's right, everything is really motivation and some thing takes a little control on our end. Anyway, thanks for checking out.

Okay, always supportive.

I find it boring eating a meal without watching Animations or movies, sometimes when no movies during my meal i tend to get tired of the food very quickly, but my duration of meal time isnt different whether they is movie or not.
Its all about control, since thats the only way to control yours I'll say you doomg a great job.

That's good for you! I simply enjoy watching movie/series that I can't stop until I know the end of it haha.

Lolzz yahh i know that feeling its crazy
