Hola Hivers!
Hi Hivers! Lately it's been a little difficult for me to get through here often, but I've decided to share a few things and catch up, we'll start by compiling it over the weekend.
On Saturday I was at the Matsuri an event organized by the Japanese embassy and the municipality where I live, although I enjoyed some things there were too many people to get great pictures so I decided to enjoy the music, the calligraphy, the games and the fair, living in a place where there are many embassies makes me great to enjoy these cultural exchanges.
And although I have a little more than two years following the k-pop and k-wave movement, I did not dare to talk about these things in public for fear of being told that is for little girls, well once I made a comment and received the typical response cliché even in people younger than me; but it is better to be honest with the things you like and make you happy, if you can share it will be much more fun and although my musical tastes are uncommon and varied, the popularity of this genre has made me find interesting people and activities.
Going to the movies to watch documentaries and concerts is something that has become routine since I decided to share in community and this time the Bangtan fan base in my city organized a screening at a mall near my home to screen the concert called Maps of the soul On:E (MOTS) which was held as an online concert because the tour was suspended due to the pandemic confinement. This concert comes out in October 2020 and allowed the Korean band to play with editing and interaction with those online. By that time if I knew a couple of BTS songs in isolation it was a lot so I did not witness that moment, after having the ticket, I asked Mary if she was up for it which took a few weeks for her to tell me that she had already bought hers and Monika knew one of the organizers and still very recent her liking for the band was also encouraged to share.
Since very early on Sunday the day started, I've been looking for my outfits for this kind of events to be inspired by one of the guys, but I'll talk about that another time. Already ready, with my charms from BT21 I head to the site and they were waiting for me, they do the verification, we take a couple of pictures and enter the show, they had prepared a small gift for us that included a group postcard from MOTS era, a photo tape, a random photocard, a keychain that I loved and a light bracelet this I liked more because I still do not intend to buy the lightstick called ARMYBOMB but the bracelet fulfilled this, something that caught my attention was the search for the photocard of their favorites, it looked like the market street, I found this scene very funny, I did not participate because I was lucky and I got my favorite, that album is one of my favorites, so I sang at the top of my lungs or well I tried to, at the end of the concert there were some raffles and surprise prizes, can you believe that they called 91, 93 and I had 92, unusual.
We left the concert for coffee because we had not eaten and after coffee we went to get some food, we were undecided so we moved to my neighborhood where we bought some Cantonese rice rations and went to picnic in the square, the day was beautiful, sunny but with the usual cold breeze of the end of the year, we took some pictures and enjoy the fresh air. We still had some space to continue eating and we approached the Korean restaurant street food sale, there they gave us some books, this will serve later to continue practicing and we decided to buy Tteokbokki, samgak kimbap and dakgangjeong (the fried chicken of the kdramas) that restaurant is very cool, I have eaten there a couple of times; I have everything documented, I promise to show it.
In the end we decided to go for some summer reds to top off our Sunday outing, with a weekend with a lot of experience from Asia, a great reset to start the week with all the irons in the fire.
