Although I have no idea how many Hive Engine tokens exist today, my wallet had entries for at least 69 of them (26 of which went back to the market, and one or two of those were sent to @null to be burned). As of now, my wallet lists 70 entries. It turns out that Hive is where SEX finds you.

When I examined every Layer 2 token present at Hive Engine during September and October of 2021, I counted at least 450. While that's not the thousands I was expecting, 450 is still a lot (including the 19+ tokens associated with Splinterlands alone). Since October, some tokens disappeared from Hive Engine, and some others replaced them.
Hive (Engine) Has PORN
During my early days in Spring 2021 at Hive Social I ran into references for the PORN token, and it's exactly what it implies. Since that's not why I came to Hive Social, I didn't think much else about it.
When I first started using LeoDex in October 2021, I wanted to look up the price of POB before I swapped unstaked POB for SWAP.HIVE to withdraw. This is how I noted my discovery at D.Buzz, the Hive microblogging dApp similar to Twitter:
While searching for POB, the drop-down list produced this most-varied list of tokens containing "PO"....
From the review of Hive Engine tokens I made in September and October 2021, I recognized all the tokens in the dropdown list. I wasn't even surprised that PORN was listed. However, I was amused to see PORN listed first.

How I Discovered SEX at Hive
Periodically I review my wallet to see if any flash spikes are in progress. In recent days I also check my order history at LeoDex to see if my limit order to sell APE when it reaches 1.000 HIVE gets fulfilled. In reent days, the price of BRO has been bouncing between 3.000 HIVE and 6.000 HIVE, so I've been monitoring it while my delegation rewards from @brofi accumulate. Among my starter holdings of INDEX and DHEDGE plus my share of rewards from the SWAP.HIVE:PIZZA liquidity pool I earn decent rewards even after clearing out my wallet to focus on tokens which help me earn passive income.
At least at Hive, the liquidity pool rewards are themselves fluid. Some days many tokens are issued as rewards, some days not so many. In both cases, the selection of rewards is varied. In some ways, every day is Christmas or my birthday. That's what it was like when I discovered VOUCHER and APE in my wallet one day.
It was also like Christmas one day when I saw new tokens with no idea how I had earned them. Long before I began trading (such as it is for me) and using liquidity pools I received tokens whose source was a mystery:
- Along with the COM I had in my wallet was WEED, only I had no idea how I got my WEED.
- WAIV came to me in some weird quantity while many people were getting their WAIV in normal quantities such as 100 or 200. No Hiver I knew could figure out why we received WAIV, but the best explanation was an airdtop.
- Before 2021 ended, I qualified for an airdrop of VYB tokens based on the POB I had been staking in weeks just prior to the airdrop. The only mystery was why I hadn't learned about the VYB airdrop earlier. It's because of my ignorance that I say I aped into my VYB airdrop.
And then, when I took a break from trying to figure out why the I was unable to bring up the 12 January 2022 edition of Daily Crypto Markets Live Blog, I find this in my wallet:
Without looking for any, SEX found me.
SEX Really Wants Me!
On top of finding SEX in my wallet, it came as both liquid SEX and staked SEX. This may be how some airdrops work; I'm still trying to figure them out in general, and I have no idea how I qualified for the SEX I have.
People Have SEX
273 people appear on the SEX Richlist. That's over 5.5 pages when viewed from Hive Engine. Based on the liquid SEX I received mysteriously, I'm ranked 163rd out of 273 SEX holders (HODLers? SEX isn't something people usually walk away from, but heck if I know.)
From the bottom up, the first person holding 0.010 SEX appears on Page 3; the first person holding 0.100 SEX appears on page 2; the first person holding 1.000 SEX appears on Page 2. Page 1 is where holders of at least 10 SEX, 100 SEX, 1,000 SEX, and 100K SEX are listed. One account holds over 50 trillion SEX, but it is the account which issued the token.
SEX Is in Demand (Somewhat)
The Candlestick chart for SEX shows gaps in dates, so there must be people happy with the SEX they have or get. I write this post on 12 January 2022, and the oldest candlestick is dated 6 October 2021. 60 candlesticks over a period of 67 days is still pretty active, with just a few days off here and there.
SEX Needs More Liquidity
The table below shows figures from LeoDex showing market data for SEX as of 1:49pm EDT:

Based on those figures between 4 and 75 people engaged in SEX activity during the last 24 hours. Exact figures are hard to determine just from looking at the table data.
SEX Has a Large Spread
The ASK is a bit over 18.8 times greater than the BID. That makes it a bit hard for consenting Hivers to trade SEX with each other. Even so, enough Hivers want SEX that limit orders are placed on both the buy and sell sides (although there are more than 2 sells for each buy). Based on the most recent limit orders, sellers of SEX are more adventurous than buyers.
Just My Two Sats
Since my wallet currently holds 0.007 SEX, it will be a while before I can title the subheading "Just My Two SEX." With the large number of Layer 2 tokens in my wallet, it's actually a surprise that an entry for the SEX token didn't appear earlier.
Tokens such as SEX and PORN have been on Hive Engine for a long time, so it just makes sense that there are people who have these tokens in their wallets.
As with most tokens, some Hivers went out of their way to buy SEX. Some want to get SEX regularly, some want to sell SEX for good money, and a few even want to have as much SEX as possible. Other Hivers were gifted SEX for whatever reason. SEX for me is a mystery since I have no idea how SEX found me.
Given the niche nature of SEX, it makes sense that liquidity is a bit on the viscous side. In light of that fact, there are worse Layer 2 tokens to try to sell. As a result, limit orders for SEX show the variety of needs Hiver have.
Will I be getting more SEX in the future? Only time will tell. All I know is that Hive is where SEX finds you, and SEX knows where to find me.
