What's happening behind the scenes to bring new GHAWG content? The GHAWG Diaries is my recap of what I've been doing.

Introduction
There's more to #GHAWG than just daily zapfic entries and the spreadsheet I use to track them. There's research. There's review. There's also thought and inspiration. Then there are the tools involved in doing any of those tasks.
Just to keep things from getting scrambled in my head, and also to document for myself what I've been considering, I began keeping a diary of my activities as they concern #GHAWG. With posts in the GHAWG, Uninterrupted series on hold at Interlude 3 while Act 7 remains in progress, I decided to share these diary entries with everyone on Hive blockchain.
On Mondays which don't feature a GHAWG, Uninterrupted post-- GHAWG-U-- I'll post diary entries from the previous 7 days or between GHAWG-U posts if the time between them is short. For Part 48, there are 8 days' worth of diary entries spread over 3 weeks. The reason for this will become obvious starting 2024-October-01. The first entry starts on 2024-September-30.
Before anyone scratches their heads at a few terms, here are 3 I began using many posts ago:

📓 Besides getting TGD47 published, I spent the day adding to the zapfic queue. Between the Route66RoadTrip.com and the digital maps, I was able to extend the zapfic queue to 2024-October-19. The additions are mostly travel entries with one or two dialog entries. Since much of the ride through Illinois takes place within 2 GHAWG days, not much sight-seeing is being done; the zapfic entries will reflect this detail. One zapfic entry even has Triumph (the Felix Legion name for Sanjay Rampersad) asking David Guardia why they're traveling through Illinois so quickly. As long as Felix Legion is on the move toward Chicago, I'll sprinkle brief conversations with the travel entries. Once in Chicago, things will be different.

📓 After I took time off to deal with the first few days of recovery after my hernia fix on October 1st, I returned to GHAWG activity yesterday with the day's zapfic entry. I reviewed the zapfic queue before I added 1 new entry. Along he way I detected duplicate entries, so I deleted those entries and re-dated the remaining entries. Given these circumstances, I extended to zapfic queue to 2024-October-31.

📓 As I was walking through Long Island City this afternoon I was thinking about the set piece to take place in Chicago after Felix Legion reaches the eastern terminus of Old Route 66. Two things will happen in this set piece. One is the re-appearance of independent journalist Aníbal Rivera as he covers the continued heartache which had become characteristic of life in Chicago. The other is David Guardia delivering his first formal prophecy since his previous prophecy in Seattle, Washington, US. The two men will met again at the Obama Presidential Library (which by then will have opened in 2026).
Aníbal Rivera had built an award-winning career thanks to journalism focused on the plight of the economic lower classes and their struggles in the face of buraucratic domination and governmental indifference, so it makes sense to find him working on a story featuring the most recent incident of gang-inflicted violence. This will allow me to have David and the rest of Felix Legion be led to the OPL due to an unexpected chain of events. What begins as a peaceful demonstration highlighted by speeches given by the families covered by Aníbal Rivera will end with the unexpected participation of David as Prophet.
Tension will be present just because of the 2 situations taking place at the same time, and it will grow when David and Rivera meet again since the interview they had after David came out of his 10-day coma at the hospital in Le Claire, Iowa, US in early August a few days before the start of the motorcycle rally at STURGIS. Rather than devolve into chaos and mayhem, the experience will transform into something unbelievably positive for all present (except, of course, for the city officials receving the prophecy from David).
Essentially, this set piece will be similar to David's experience at STURGIS when he delivered to Harry Hoqualogue the message the uncanny Manny Rey had given to him back in Sandusky, Ohio, US. One major difference: no violence.
Wednesday, 2024-October-16
📓 Today I extended the zapfic queue to 2024-December-05. By then, Felix Legion will have reached Romeoville, the last town of note on the eastward ride on "Route 66" before reaching Chicago. Between Springfield and Illinois, the zapfic entries are mostly travel entries noting a detail or two about the various towns. At Romeoville, Felix Legion will make a pit stop for refueling; that may as well be a stop for character interaction.
After that, I will write entries covering 2 brief stories at the same time. One is the ride itself. The other is independent journalist Aníbal Rivera doing his job to cover a groundswell of popular frustration regarding the chronic crime problem culminating at a demonstration outside the Obama Presidential Library. While the people of Chicago tolerated an enormous amount of criminal mischief over the last few decades, in the years prior to GHAWG the criminal mischief was exacerbated by the introduction of foreign criminals who took "gang turf" for themselves. You know your city has a crime problem when the native criminals feel threatened by the foreign criminals.
I make no predictions about how this situation will unfold between today and October 2028 when this scene takes place. However, the scene taking place over some number of zapfic entries will serve as commentary on daily living, local government, and the power of faith. Although this scene draws near, I still have time to figure out how it will take place.
Thursday, 2024-October-17
📓 I added a couple more entries to the zapfic queue. Felix Legion is one town of note away from Chicago, Illinois, US, the eastern terminus of the legendary and iconic Route 66. It's at this point I thought Felix Legion would take a time out from riding to refuel and have some interactions. After that, there will be a series of travel entries to get Felix Legion into the Windy City (as Chicago is known).
At some point I will publish 2 zapfic entries a day in order to accommodate the re-appearance of independent journalist Aníbal Rivera. The two storylines will converge after Felix Legion reaches the eastern terminus of Route 66 but still need to ride within Chicago city limits in order to meet Rivera at the Obama Presidential Library.
Although nothing is definite for either of the 2 storylines, I have a good idea how the Rivera storyline will go. It's the Felix Legion storyline where I have no idea what will happen, and I won't know that until I resume looking at digital maps of the region between Romeoville and Chicago.

📓 Once Felix Legion leaves Chicago, the rest of David Guardia's Epic Ride will show the crew dwindling in size. First, The Kids (Sanjay Rampersad and Lionel Odunsi) get dropped off at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The remaining 5 members of Felix Legion will ride west together to Iowa, where they will branch off to their respective homes. The Twins, Hank and Frank Marchenko hail from Cedar Rapids. Although Lindsay Etxeberria will join them in Cedar Rapids at least for a while, Felix Legion will first bring her to Atalissa, where her parents live. The end of the Epic Ride will be Davenport, where former New Jersey kid David will live this phase of his life with his bride and wife, Rhonda Bella Guardia.
📓 Once David's Epic Ride comes to an end, Rat Bike comes to an end. Blue Lion begins a few years later with a montage of scenes showing the various characters from Rat Bike in their lives after the Epic Ride. The Kids will be reunited with The Newlyweds when they get hired to work for David's GHAWG-centered enterprise. Part of David's enterprise includes the Rubber Chicken Circuit where he goes on a public speaking tour sharing his experiences before and during his Epic Ride. Brothers Marchenko and Lindsay end up doing, as a side hustle, a podcast focused on conversations similar to what they had during the Epic Ride. While the podcast won't be anywhere near as successful as that of the top podcasters in the world, it will be successful enough the Lindsay will eventually go solo with her own podcast. Rhonda will continue with her trucking business, Rhonda Bella Logistics, only its operations will differ from what they were in her life before having met David.

📓 The Weekly Summary post took a hiatus due to the minor surgery I had to repair a hernia. Surgery is trauma on the body, only it's usually performed using anesthesia. Once recovery began, my pain level was high enough to transform me to the Blurt logo. So I had to get through the first few days first before I could determine if I could resume my normal activities. Sunday I resumed publishing the daily zapfic entry, and today I resumed the Weekly Summary. This is Weekly Summary post includes the partial week which took place before the hernia fix and the complete week which ended today.

📓 Today's enrty completes this edition of The GHAWG Diaries, which I will publish on Monday. After that, I'm back in the routine.
Even the Rate Bike is still in the Route 66 storyline, it's winding down to the final 24-48 hours in GHAWG time. Since Felix Legion entered Illinois, I've been transitioning the zapfic serial to the remainder of David Guardia's Epic Ride: returning The Kids to University of North Carolina, then getting settled in Iowa. The final hours riding on Old Route 66 feel different for everyone, and it shows.
The double-storyline is still in flux in my mind. All I know for sure is that first we see Felix Legion in Romeoville, next we see the crew crossing Chicago city limits. I have more thinking to do. To get more ideas, I need to review the digital map and consider recent history in order to extrapolate events in 2028 Chicago.
