The balustrade of one of the anterooms of the tenement houses in Św. Ducha Street transports us to the world as if from a fairy tale about Sleeping Beauty, who, after pricking herself with a spindle, fell asleep for a hundred years along with the whole court, and her garden grew densely with roses and ivy. But where did the creature with the body of a rooster and the head of a dragon come from? Instead of fire it breathes floral vine.

Some of Gdansk renaissance stonemasons lived on high level thanks to their skills and orders from rich merchants. The villa of one of them still stands today and has been turned into a 5 star hotel.

It is the House under the Negro.
