Adapting instruction to individual learning rates helps each student reach their potential.
This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "The Teacher's Fault".
The role of a teacher is extremely important in the life of any student, since he is in charge of leading, guiding and clearing up each of the doubts that that boy has. So, the responsibility of education has great weight and great influence on the teacher's side. But we must keep in mind that for this to work there has to be a synergy with the home, since family members also have the greatest weight in their home to contribute so that all the knowledge that this student is obtaining at home can be applied at home. life. The greatest weight will always be at home in the sense that they must prepare that student or that boy for life, give him the necessary tools so that he can solve problems and talk with him whenever there is any impediment or any obstacle that delays your learning or that makes it difficult for you to overcome or understand something. If a student is not performing excellently or has very low levels of performance, we must understand that not all people have the same skills and abilities, and some learn at slower rates. The teacher must adapt to that slow pace and give material and educate that student at his own pace without forcing him, and always having the support of his family at home because it is a job that goes hand in hand between the teacher and the family. and the student's relatives. I personally don't think it's the teacher's fault if a student is performing poorly. I think that the synergy between relatives and teacher is what will achieve success in this student and, above all, if he performs poorly, surely when he sees that there is a good relationship between his teacher and his relatives, he will feel in a better position, safer environment, in a pleasant and conducive environment for study. I say this from experience because I was never a good student, but not because I was unintelligent, but precisely because the conditions for studying were not conducive. I didn't feel like there was a harmonious environment in my home and this prevented me from concentrating on my study. Apart from the fact that my relatives did not believe that I was intelligent enough to be able to pass those subjects, and the teachers - I remember it very clearly - said that I was very bright in certain areas, particularly the areas of psychology and biology, which were the subjects that I liked. Well, because of this, the pressure I had at home didn't allow me to concentrate, I couldn't study and I didn't find the support they gave me at home to be able to move forward. Based on this, I can testify that it is extremely important for relatives to work hand in hand with the teacher, especially in the case of slow learning students or when there are situations like the ones I experienced, which are complicated and require of special attention. Honestly, I would prefer that education be worked this way: that there be a special program before the student begins to study, in which the relatives are forced to attend a few training sessions where the teacher or teachers participate that they are going to teach this student, so that from there the relatives can have tools and know what to do and how to work with that student. Because that is an extremely important part. I believe that this would be ideal to maintain harmony and to achieve good functioning and a synergy towards excellence that allows the student to show all his capacity and to develop, progress and lead us to have a better world, which in the end is everything we want.
