Young people should focus on healthy, productive activities instead of drug use.

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Not Just Drugs".

I will distribute 3% of the rewards obtained in this post, among the best comments, who will receive a tip when the rewards are collected.

Hello, welcome to this blog where this time I will be talking about the proposed topic which is not just drugs.

Talking about drugs is a very interesting topic, especially for me, because if someone is experienced in this matter, it's me, for various reasons.

As you know, I am an empirical and a self-taught person, so you can already imagine the direction in which I will discuss the topic.

But before delving into the subject and telling you about my experiences, I want to say that drugs at first should be used, or in my opinion, should be used to improve people's quality of life, help them with various ailments, pains whether it's a headache or in operations where it is necessary to use drugs to control blood flow, to prevent blood from clotting, to avoid pain, to make the patient sleep.

For various purposes and goals, drugs are very useful, but obviously, they have to be used and administered by specialists in the field, people who really know how to use them.

At first, it's about having a certain level of education and knowing the basic parts of medicines that can be obtained without a prescription and that we can easily buy at the pharmacy to solve a toothache or perhaps a headache or something as simple as diarrhea.

But I want to talk to you about my worst experience with the use of drugs. I have had many, many, and I will talk about the most recent one that happened, I think, around 8 years ago.

I was experimenting with a plant or a flower known as "campanita." It's a flower that is hallucinogenic and that in this country grows freely in different parts.

Well, I had a friend who passed away a few years ago who was an alcoholic and very addicted to trying different types of substances and drugs.

I'm talking about an older man, over 60 years old, not a young guy, but an experienced man and a good friend of mine for many years in this area where I live.

It turns out that on one occasion we decided to try it, he invited me to try this plant because he knew of a place in the city where this plant was found, and these flowers were free to grab.

Of course, this is a plant that is illegal; it is penalized to have it and consume it here. This means that if the police find you with it, you will probably have many problems, be detained and have a bad time in a police station.

Well, the point is that I received several flowers as a gift from my friend, about six or seven flowers, and it was the first time I was going to experiment with this because I didn't know.

I decided to try them and cook them as tea, and I definitely used more than I should have.

It is difficult to measure if you are not a chemist or a person who knows because the concentration of the hallucinogen or the liquid that drugs you in each flower is different, and only a chemist can measure the components or the amount of milligrams of the potency of the hallucinogenic components in each flower, and it is never known.

There is no standard measure because each flower can have more or less than another.

The point is that I cooked five flowers, left them boiling for about an hour, and drank the brew.

After drinking about three-quarters of a liter of this brew, well, I started my trip with the drug. The bad experience was not at first; it was bad.

I was hallucinating and seeing colored lights, things that had happened before with other substances. But what happened this time is that I felt a great need to eat ice cream, and I went to the kitchen to get ice cream.

I was thirsty and, well, what I did was take an ice cream from the freezer and lick it, and then I took a glass of water and drank it.

At the moment of doing this, the reaction came. I felt that my throat was closing, my pharynx.

Immediately, I felt a very strong burning in my throat, and the moment of reality came. It turns out that what I had drunk was not water but isopropyl alcohol, and I was drinking it.

Obviously, the alcohol, when it entered, with the first sip through my throat, dried it, and irritated my entire fossa, my trachea, preventing air from entering.

So, I had to, being in that drugged state, try to control myself because I had had several experiences, many previous experiences, not with this but with other hard drugs.

So I took the way to get into zen breathing, to calm down and relax my muscles in that moment of pressure because I knew I couldn't breathe.

Then, fortunately, the muscles relaxed because it was not a lot of isopropyl alcohol that I swallowed, because if it had been more, I would have suffocated because air couldn't get in because the trachea was irritated, my throat completely closed, and I could pass the breathing.

When I returned, still startled, still drugged but startled, I had regained some consciousness. I realized that what I had licked was not ice cream; it was a kitchen knife.

Fortunately, I did not lick the blade of the knife but the flat side of the knife that had no edge, and I thought I had been licking ice cream.

Since that day, I stopped trying these strong substances for purely recreational use.

Currently, from time to time, I do consume cannabis, but I have not consumed any type of substance for about 6 or 7 years because, well, it does not give me pleasure.

I generally used or used cannabis for toothaches and leg pains because I have circulatory problems, but nothing more than that.

So, in general, this was one of the most unpleasant experiences I had.

I lived in great fear thinking about what would have become of my life because I live alone and it affected me emotionally.

Even today, I have night terrors where I remember every time I see a kitchen knife, that episode comes to mind, and I feel very terrified and think about how I could have committed such madness.

But obviously, I was not in my right mind, and today I try to think that all that was an evolution, it was a past, and it was part of the lesson that left me that drugs are a matter that must be handled only by doctors.

It's okay for someone to want to experiment, but always when they are guided or controlled or cared for by another person who can watch them and prevent them from getting hurt.

Today, I feel good, I feel safe, I feel calm, except for certain times, as I say, when I get those night terrors when I associate knives with this episode of the knife with drugs, and I get tachycardia when I remember it, as in this moment when I am telling you this episode.

In general, I think what I said at the beginning, that drugs should be used exclusively for cases where they are necessary and administered by specialists.

Do not do it simply to belong to a group or to look cool or to feel part of a group of youngsters as many young people do today because that is simply nonsense and a waste of time.

Dedicate yourself to sports, to learning and studying, which are more valuable things for your life than consuming drugs.

One problem with taken naturally sourced plants or herbs measurement and the effect it will have on a person who uses them. In part, drugs of natural origin helps a lot but when it turns out that the drug/herb has been named an illegal substance, people have to steer clear from using it.
That's my tale though.
I agree that such substances could be helpful.

Nicely written, @manclar .

Also, many times a plant is demonized for political reasons, those are other issues, and I agree with you, because there are drugs like alcohol that are a thousand times worse than an illegal substance.

Thank you for sharing your precious experience 🙏🏻
I'd like to experiment more with drugs and I'm conscious that having a trusted and sober person with you while doing that can really save your life

i understand, just be cautious if you go to onboard this.

@manclar, I paid out 0.213 HIVE and 0.047 HBD to reward 2 comments in this discussion thread.

I very much agree with all the text, including the quote I have chosen. I think there are drugs that have accompanied mankind throughout its history, natural drugs, not laboratory drugs. However these drugs without a proper companion, taken only as a playful substance, are very dangerous. Therefore, I also join you in your call for responsibility.

Best regards @manclar.

There are trees that produce drugs, they are toxic... and well the best example is the bellflower, which made me fly. This was just one of many experiences, and the truth is that it worries me to see how nowadays kids put any drug up their ass in order to be "cool", to belong to the tribe, that is really very bad.

From my experience, I wanted to share a little how dangerous it can be, and I am someone who knows a lot about drugs, we have already talked about it...so maybe this story can serve as a lesson for the people of Nigeria or anyone else. reads me on the other side of the world. I agree with that.

Thanks for stopping by, Arbol. 😅

Thank you.

Yes, the term is for drugs at a general level, it is quite a topic, thanks to you for coming to comment.
