The Impact of AI on Traditional Jobs

AI is revolutionizing traditional jobs, making some roles obsolete while creating new opportunities.

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Not Needed".

I will distribute 3% of the rewards obtained in this post, among the best comments, who will receive a tip when the rewards are collected.

Today, with all the advancements in Artificial Intelligence, we know that it has taken a significant role and has replaced the routine work of many people that can now be easily performed by an Artificial Intelligence.

Speaking of this topic, which is today's proposal at High Learners, I can say that Venezuela is not the exception and it is very difficult to point out which activities or courses are suffering from this problem of being replaced by Artificial Intelligence.

The problem is that they are replaced because they are generally routine tasks, such as administrative jobs involving data entry, filling out forms.

These are candidates for automation, so I think courses and careers like administration can be easily replaced by Artificial Intelligence currently. Unfortunately, they have become obsolete.

Another aspect that has become obsolete is manufacturing and assembly because robots have taken over these tasks.

With machines, they do everything with more precision, don't get tired, and work 24 hours a day. There’s no need to pay them salaries or medical services, so they replace manual labor, replace the hand that does all that kind of work, and they are more efficient.

We also have another job that can be replaced by Artificial Intelligence, which is telemarketing and customer service.

Today, we have many Artificial Intelligences capable of replacing these courses or these people who do these jobs. Also, jobs involving data analysis, for example, courses for programmer analysts or data analysis.

Obviously, this is a task that can be easily performed by an Artificial Intelligence.

The advantage of this is that with these changes and these professions or courses becoming obsolete, other opportunities and courses emerge for people to specialize in this.

For example, I see a great possibility of creating a career in data science or data science and analysis. People will be able to analyze all this data that Artificial Intelligences provide.

We can also see a new course, a new specialization in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligences, both for managing Artificial Intelligences and for developing them.

This is an extremely important field, and of course, a field in which I am a specialist: cybersecurity. Obviously, this entire digital area will increasingly need more and more specialists in this area to protect data.

People who are affected because these alternatives or these courses are becoming obsolete will have to make the decision to work remotely, to be freelancers, or to become entrepreneurs, as has happened with many people.

I definitely do not believe that any course or subject in any school or university has become obsolete because I consider it very important to continue teaching these basic knowledge.

This is part of history and what leaves us our legacy to understand how we have advanced from one stage to another in our evolution as a country, as human beings.

Therefore, it is always important to have this memory of the past and to continue teaching or keeping an educational record of how education was, how classes were taught in those times when there was no Artificial Intelligence.

I believe that this will always be important to have, and especially careers like historians or the career of a historian should take this type of knowledge into account.

Hello @manclar, I see more professions or fields in which I will replace human work. For example, in everything that is the logistics of merchandise, in transport, in the health professions psychologists and doctors will be re -elopted, in the education of teachers, journalists, television presenters will also disappear, nor will they be necessary or the Actors or film directors, few content creators will be able

A very big hug @manclar.

I am thinking of starting to work as a tree observer, to document their behavior, their patterns and their most recurrent habits online. Fortunately, the work of being a tree cannot be replaced, and hopefully neither can the work of observing it.

No one thought the day where robots and artificial intelligence will replace humans but that is the era we are living in currently.

Maybe it will happen, I'm not sure about it.

Well said. I reason a lot with the aspect of robots and also that of telemarketing. These jobs have been rendered useless but still there is still room for advancement. And I strongly believe that no matter how powerful technology and AI becomes they can’t overtake the need of humans. Humans created them and humans will still have to power them.

Machines only process, but they will never have the ability to think that is unique to humans.

I work in programming and AI is more and more present in my daily work. So much so that many of my colleagues are questioning whether their work will still be necessary in a few years' time.
It is clear that AI will not replace all workers of a certain type, because for now it needs supervision. But I think it is very possible to reduce certain jobs by 80% this year.
Anyone whose job can be replaced by AI will have to develop to the point where they can supervise an AI doing their previous job. The job will not disappear, but it will evolve.

Some jobs are replaced and other types of specializations emerge. What I see is that whoever does not worry about learning these new technologies is going to be left behind, so it is better to get on with it.

In an utopic world, AI will replace obsolete jobs, population will decrease and a universal income gives people the chance to live decently even when not working, or working much less than now, thanks to a correct distribution of welfare.
And who wants to study something will do it because they like it and not just for work purposes.

But this is never going to happen, right? Big tech corps and government will use AI to make more money, laying off workers who are going to starve to death and kill themselves while the richest become more rich, until a revolution will burn everything to the ground and we all go back to a pre-industrial society. Not soon though

I agree with you, corporations will only always seek their profit, so it is better to forget about dreaming that things will go well. Those in power are not going to abandon it, but rather they are going to perpetuate continuing in it.
