What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are enjoying an awesome day with your family and friends and also playing this amazing game in your daily free time and growing your account over time while earning rewards. Now those of you who are playing the ongoing ranked section in this game, I guess all of you are focusing on your trophy rating right now, because we have already come past the middle of this season and there’s not much time left before the season meet its end. Looking at the season timer, right now we only have 6 days and 20 hours left for this season to end, so whatever goal you have set for yourself, be sure to reach there within next 2-4 days, or you will face a difficult time while playing in the last 2 days. Why? Well because it will literally become a bloodbath during those days, as most of the players will be active by that time. Now taking a look at myself, I am somehow reached my goal faster this time and have entered the champion III league tier. I am currently sitting idle with a trophy count of 3,740 and would need another 260 trophies to reach the next league tier which is a very very complex task, but as I have enough time before the season end, so this time I will try to push my trophy count further and let’s see how it goes.
Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about an old magic thrower monster that most of us have in their collection. As you have already seen in the Thumbnail Above, today I will be shading light into the Dax Paragon. So, if you are interested, let’s take a deep dive without any further ado.
DAX PARAGON
DAX PARAGON is a monster type card that got introduced in the splinterlands game with the launch of Chaos Legion card-set and this card comes under the core edition card-set. This card belongs to the Life element and it’s attack type is magic. It costs only 2 mana to be used in battlefield, making it the second most cheap card in the game, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with Little League ruleset. By rarity, it is an Epic type card, so you will need a total of 46 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade it to max level. Now apart from a decent magic attack at low speed with good health, this monster also comes with 2 very useful abilities which I will be talking about below. Let us now take a deeper look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 2, this monster possesses 1 magic attack power at 2 speed with 3 health and it also gets the Amplify ability from this level onwards. With the help of this ability, it will increase damages done to enemy cards via Return Fire, Thorns, Magic Reflect by 1 and does not stack.
SILVER
When you upgrade this card to level 3, then its stats gets a little increment to 1 magic attack power at 2 speed with 4 health along with the Amplify ability that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new ability, it’s increased health bar will consume multiple attacks before going down.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded to level 5, it receives the same 1 magic attack at 2 speed with an incressed 5 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability called Affliction with which, lit has 50% chance to apply Affliction upon every successful attack and if applied, the enemy monster can not be healed.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally when you upgrade this monster card to its max level of 6, then it possesses an increased 2 magic attack power at 2 speed with 5 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned before. Mow though it does not get any new abilities at its max level, its increased magic attack will surely help you to kill down enemy unit faster.
Battle Link
BATTLE STATS
This time, I received a small 24 mana limit match where, there were all the elements allowed except Water. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match as follows - Taking Sides (You cannot summon Neutral element monsters), Lost Legendaries (Legendary monsters can not be used in this battle) and Healed Out (Units and Summoners lose all abilities that restore health). As we can not used neutral elements and legendary monsters, the overall selection area has shrunken now. So I started thinking for an appropriate strategy for this match and after thinking a little, I decided to use multiple backline attackers having sneak, opportunity or scattershot ability and then the Dax and 2more monsters including a defensive monster at the front. As thought, so I quickly started building a lineup accordingly.
BATTLE LINEUP
For this match, first of all, I chose the dual legendary summoner Eternal Tofu and at my first defensive place, I selected the Pelacor Conjerur followed by the Stitch Leech, Dax Paragon, Olivia of the Brook, Celestial Harpy and the Acid Shooter at my end position. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent has used legendary Dragon Quix the Devious summoner with Life cards and at his front, he chose the same Pelacor Conjerur followed by Time Mage, Venari Crystalsmith, Pelacor Arbalest, Vruz and Naga Assassin at his end spot of the lineup. We both have used mostly life cards and let’s now see who finally wins this match.
FIGHT BEGINS
As the match began, the enemy Vruz attacked my Acid Shooter but immediately died because of the Thorns ability, followed by the enemy Pelacor Arbalest who killed down my Conjerur with its deadly double attack. Then, my Harpy attacked and killed down the enemy Time Mage, followed by the death of enemy Conjerur at round 2 due to poison. Next, the enemy Arbalest attacked again and this time killed my Stitch Leech but then my Dax Paragon came at front and killed the Crystalsmith and pulled down the Arbalest to the first place and made his unable to attack anymore. But sadly, it also got killed soon after by the Naga at the beginning of round 3. Then, the Olivia killed the Pelacor Arbalest and the last poor monster also died soon after, gifting me another awesome win.
