I think the coolest elder I've ever met in my life is my elder sister. She's one person I secretly want to be like. Looking at her growth in her career and every part of her life keeps me motivated and makes me realise that life is easy if you live it happily.
You hardly notice when she's having her issues because she's just out there still giving hope, smiles and joy to her patients. A sweet soul that I'm grateful I was opportune to live with at one point in my life.
She's all about what I can do to help and how I can render help, regardless of my status in society. And it makes you wonder if she doesn't have her problems too. I remember that I nicknamed her "Mother Christmas" because of that attitude.
Also, she doesn't conform to what she doesn't believe are the right moral values a human should have, no matter what is presented before her. She will always say, "Because others are doing it doesn't mean you should do it too. What is wrong is wrong", or "Doing things uprightly will take you far in life".
And I tried to learn that from her. Every day, I try to stick to doing what is right. Trust me, it's not easy, it makes me wonder how she does it so easily. But it has taken her far in her career and I'm happy for her.
Also, she's a good cook. You can't be around her and go hungry. She makes sure the fridge is filled with food. She's one of the reasons I know how to cook.
She's the coolest person I know.
