Let's get started
Firstly..
Peel the yam with knife

Cut into small pieces

Rinse with water, like twice

Get some water, not much water.. Into a clean pot

Make your fire ready

Rinse the already cutted yam inside the clean pot with little water

Put it on fire to cook

Note:Since it's meant to be pounded, salt is not required.

Depending on the means of cooking.. I am using charcoal, so it would be done in less than 20 mins.. Gas might not take much time
...
Yam is done, now I Rinse the Mortar
Take it(yam) off fire and place near the Mortar for pounding...

You start putting it in twos inside the Mortar while a helping hand(second person) is doing the poundingand, you pound till its soft and no little pieces of yam could be seen or felt... Add a little hot water and pound a little more

When it's done, rinse the Grinding stone and put aside

Put a dry clean pot on fire

Pour your palm oil inside it, a minimum of half cup is okay,so it won't look somehow when eating
Slice your onions..
Pour into the already hot oil on fire
Rinse your locust beans and add also
Now you make sure the onions are not burnt before pouring your pepper
Pour pepper in Immediately and stir

Now take your grounded melon and pour in a basin, add a very little water to it and mix together, using your hands, make little little balls with it and add to the pot on fire
Now add your desired amount of salt and maggi(seasonings)
Cover to make it cook well
While it's on fire, take the india spinach and cut into smaller particles, then rinse it with water well

Check if the pepper is ready enough to pour in our amunututu(india spinach)
Pour in and stir together..
Rinse the roasted the fish incase dirt might be in,cut in two, remove the bones and cut into little pieces, then add to the soup to boil, cook together.

Cover it to make it cook very well

Note;amunututu(india spinach) is believed to contain a lot of water naturally so while cooking, little or no water at all is being added as it produces/brings out water it self once it's on fire...
