Friendship is a precious gift that helps our lives in ways we could never imagine.it's a bond thay goes far in bringing joy,comfort and meaning to our journey...thats if you find a true one(friend).we are in a world where relationships are mostly temporary,true friendships are rare.
I can never forget the day I met Blessing,a friend who has become a gift to my life.We were introduced by certain circumstance, I do go to her street to play football back then,our initial conversation was somehow,has she was the reserved and hard to get type.But she has this charming smile that do show her beautiful fitting diastema,her kindness drew me,as she do feel for us if we get injured an all,going inside to bring us water,only that she doesn't give room to chats and talking.On the long run,I proved myself to be of pure intention and nothing more,so we got close.
Friendship is having someone who listens without judgment,seeing a space to share your deepest thoughts and feelings.Friends like Blessing provide a shoulder to cry on,your partner in everything.
Blessing is now a very big part of me,we've grown beyond just friends,shes more of a sister now,even her mum and everyone knew we are close,share burdens together, pray together, she does the singing since shes into music,i dont have a good voice 😊,and all.We went to same institution and lived very close to each other,we eat,Cook,joke, chat gist and all nd finished just of recent,we graduated.
Friendship is also about shared experiences,those smiling moments,those times you argued,agreed and all,the quiet moments.I cant but chip in Blessing,because she kept coming to mind as I write, I have shared countless memoriese with her,and am sure they are all what add up together to make our an unbreakable one
When she sees someone who's disturbing her for a date,I act as I boyfriend,funny right,only thay I do tell her not to use me as a cover up when tough,bad guys ask her out,I can't be able to bear the beatings 🤓.
We can say true friends are God sents,as they demonstrate unconditional love,they come in for us where we least expect,they remind us that we're not alone and that someone cares deeply about us.
Fiendships indeed provide a sense of belonging.
These gift(friendship)teaches us valuable lessons.it shows us the importance of sympathy,understanding,selflessness which inspire us to put others first.,it makes us know that that relatioships require both effort and commitment.
Blessing's presence in my life has been a gift in countless ways.She's helped me a lot,together in challenges,celebrating successes together and the show of genuine love.Her friendship has taught me to appreciate every little things,cherish moments, and to prioritize relationships.
What amazes me most about her is the fact that even though we quarrel,misunderstood each other,fight (not physical(punches) fights),had have issues,over the years I find it hard to believe that non ever said sorry to each other,maybe,just on one occasion,we do always find our way back to each other,she might just message me funnily and thats the end,she might just help me adjust my cloth if we meet,and thats all,I could just look into her eyes and say"Blessing o ti mature ju gbo gbo eyi lo) Meaning "Blessing you are more mature than all these" and thats all.
Lastly...we call each other "Twinnie"🙈,we are just too inseparable.
If you're fortunate enough to have a friend like Blessing,cherish them,grow the relationship,invest in it,give it your time.Nowadays people only find who to use,if you refuse to be used,they tagged it ad something else,friendships are taken for granted,we mostly look at who and what the person represent before getting attached,we do it for personal gain,we need to recognize individual uniqueness and treasure each other not use.
The gift of friendship is a treasure without a measure.If you have a friend who's a gift to your life,let them know and appreciate the good person they are.
