I have recently joined a group of friends who have brought me many new incredible experiences in a short time. Sometimes it is time to take a break, see new directions and decide to move forward. This group of friends is small but every day between communication and short term plans we are creating a bond to remember.
I share with you that these guys are the main players of the basketball team I manage, we have a couple of years limiting ourselves to coach-player relationship, but since a month and a half ago, that we entered in low season for tournaments but in high season for training, I decided to reach a consensus with them where spending quality time to improve our union as a team would be a pillar of our dynamic. This led us to be more united off the court and to start planning new experiences, trips, outings and very fun and unforgettable encounters.
Today I am going to share with you my experience yesterday, Saturday, where for the first time in my life I went to a pool. A place that I had only seen in movies and series, and that is actually a very American game you could say; a place full of people with a euphoric vibe and a desire to have a good time.
We started the night a little late because we have been having light but constant rains in the municipality where we live, we had missed the meeting time, so we took a cab most of the group and we got with the rest in the town where this recreational center is located. From the first moment we saw each other we started telling our anecdotes of the week, catching up and laughing at the typical jokes that usually go through our heads as a good idea.
Upon entering the place I felt a bit out of place, I didn't know if I could really fit in there even though I was surrounded by people I trusted, because I felt kind of anxious. It took me a while to adapt to the rhythm and vibe of the place, even though I thought it was quite nice, I didn't feel at ease. We placed our first drink order, grabbed some chairs and planned how we were going to get through the night.

We joined a group of friends in common and started playing pool, the truth, I must admit that I suck at the game, but the important thing is that the laughs were not lacking. We played several games among us, celebrated many of the good holes we made and made fun of each other for silly mistakes. After a couple of rounds I was able to feel at ease and start communicating my ideas, opinions and more. The establishment has good security, fairly clean, the service people are very attentive, people behave themselves, which is something you probably don't see very often in Latin establishments but here people were very much in their moment and their group, without causing disturbances or arguments. Which made the evening enjoyable.
The place has several pool tables, about 12, I won't deny that this makes everyone very close together and you have to ask for permission many times to be able to make a play, however that doesn't alter the enjoyment of the moment. They had excellent music to make the atmosphere more bearable, which made us dance and sing at times. A little before midnight we went out to eat because some of our group had not had dinner, but that did not prevent those of us who had already eaten to repeat our favorite junk food which are hot dogs.

After spending some time there, talking and laughing, we went back to the pool and continued our entertaining evening. The truth is that every day I feel a little more comfortable with them, they are quite open with their dislikes, feelings and do not refuse any adventure that may be available to them on the occasion. This little friendship team are several people of different ages, they include two girls who are girlfriends of two of the players, one of these girls is my friend for years, so that only strengthens the group.
Really the arrival of them in this moment of my life has been quite crucial, I am in a stage where I am looking for new horizons and new pillars to strengthen my beliefs and my evolution as a person. I tend to be a person who prioritizes friends without expecting anything in return, but right now I'm looking for friends who prioritize me in the same way, hopefully they are them and if they are not, we must move forward, the important thing is that now we are building a mountain of unforgettable memories.

I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked because we were really focused on playing and having fun, but next time I will try to take as many pictures as possible so you can see the place and the atmosphere in general. Our last photo of the night was passing in front of the police headquarters of the town where we live, we decided to divide the group into two motorcycle trips back home and first came the girls and a few minutes later the boys caught up with us, closing with a flourish and laughter.
This first experience was quite fun, eloquent and enjoyable, I hope it will be repeated with more constancy as I continue to learn from the sport. I wish that every person who takes the time to read this post will have the opportunity to find a friendship group that shares the same desire to have fun and be happy.
