Visit to Anoi Itam, a fortress with Japanese heritage.

Hello, travel.

I learned a lot when I visited the Anoi Itam Fort exactly 2 days ago, including that it was a Japanese fortress that local and local foreign tourists, like myself, now visit. I also enjoyed visiting this location, which is in the Anoi Itam Beach neighborhood and is about 12 kilometers from Sabang City's center. Anoi Itam fortress that is still standing in this location.

The Japanese fleet's weapons were kept in this fort, which is situated on the eastern side of Sabang, during World War II. The fort was constructed between 1942 and 1945, and Japanese soldiers were housed there. There are also cannons inside of this fort that are longer than three meters.

This is the Japanese cannon, which is still in place and pointed toward the ocean.

We can see the sea and the Stigi Wood trees from inside this fort structure. On the coast of Anoi Itam, the locals are aware of this tree as a magical tree. Many believe it to be a magical King of Wood tree, in fact.

This structure is partially buried in the ground, leaving only the aiming tower accessible from the top of the hill to spy on the adversary.

We can see lovely scenery, numerous stones, and black sand along the shore of this anoi itam beach. People here refer to it as colored sand black or anoi itam (aceh local language).

This black sand has a mass that is three times heavier than other black sands when compared up close because it is known to have a high Nickel content. I didn't realize how powerful this sand that had been mixed with heavy minerals was until I started to hold it. When I traveled to Sabang, Aceh province, which is at the very western tip of the archipelago, I learned many things. It is said that this black sand is widely used by the locals as a raw material for the treatment of skin diseases and chronic paralysis can be cured immediately with this black sand. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip because I was able to learn a lot from the places I visited and add insight that is very meaningful for me. In particular, I loved watching the beauty of the sea from the edge of Anoi Itam beach until I saw the fort and the remnants of the Japanese cannons that still stand here in perpetuity. in Aceh, Indonesia, at the site of Fort Anoi Itam, which is situated in Ujong Kareung Village, Sukajaya, Sabang.

Thank you to all of you who are still faithful to bear witness to this journey.
See you later.
