Hello Hivers πŸ’•πŸ’˜,

In agricultural mindset the type of plant species you plant really matters a lot and that is why as a farmer you need to be determined. When you are determined you will equally know how to navigate through. Even though you are a starter or a newbies you will be always have a breakthrough challenge. This is as a result of the discussion that went for so many hours on discord channel which also we were able to iron out so many questions regarding crop production and animal rearing. When you are into crop production you must be specific or in terms of mixed cropping system. You must be able to analyze within yourself the type of crop you will be able to manage confidently even when any challenge occur.

The question on discord that was thrown by a colleague here was that how do we know a very good seed specie?. The question is a very great one full of wisdom. I said this because normally even before you get started you must ensure that the seat you are about to plant is a very healthy one and at it best. Not just that alone but it's also a very productive one. We have thousands of seed that are not productive in the sense that even when they grow up to the maturity stage they become a male plant. Just like in the case of pawpaw seed. Have you ever asked why farmers always plant pawpaw seed in hundreds even when they are using the nursery section of their Farm? The answer is very simple. Farmers plant a lot of pawpaw seed because we have so many of them that will grow up to become a male pawpaw tree which is literally not useful for production. But it is useful for other purposes. So when the farmer plants 100 of seed out of this 100 seeds we should have female pawpaw plant at about 40% or 50%.

  • So in the case of okra seed we also have different type of species and in this article you will see that there are two different species of okra in different paragraph. And they are from the same source. This is to show you that the nature has its own way of handling a lot of things naturally. Even as a farmer you cannot predict 100%.

This particular okra plant is different from the down below which I also will explain on it. When it grow up it leaves became more green in nature. Likewise the finger leaves become more narrow. When it's comes to the seed itself, the produce are extremely longer than usual.

This is why you must always look for so many differences in plant before we jump into planting of the seed. If closely some people double check on the plants they may not find any differences but they will come up to say it is okra plant that all they know. But on the other hand a real true farmer must be able to know the type of species of plants or animal breed he or she is going for before stepping into it officially.

  • This is another type of species of okra plant which I also planted on the same day. although I made use of the nursery section before transplanting it into the another mobile Seedbed.

You can see that there is much more difference between the two plants even though I have them on some other sections of the farm with the same growing similarities. The bottom line is that you need to be aware before the plant or cultivate any crop or seed.

When it comes to consuming of the produce there is nothing like any differences because they are similar as one. But they close difference between the two is that the color differences as well as there is hair on one and not on the other one too. But it is both edible for consumption.

When you get to the market you can either get both at the same time because you can readily see them in market. Engaging in farming is the best practice you can ever do and this is simply because you learn everyday even at it differences.
