Snow to see March out

in #hive-1064442 years ago

I woke up to a snowy Wisconsin morning that looked rather like a Christmas card! The best part is that it is almost April and this nonsense has to be ending soon! A bit of sunshine on these photos would have been nicer....

You have amazing photos. Especially bright red cardinal in the middle of white snow, this is something!

Thanks! Cardinals put on a show wherever they are! ♥️

The weather is all sort of bi-polar hopefully it's the last of it , beautiful pictures does look like a Christmas card

The snow in my pictures all melted oh, but we have since gotten more and I believe there is even more in the forecast for tomorrow. I am so weary of winter weather

Ending soon, eh? Well, here's hoping! It is pretty, though. Those robins really stand out against the white snow, too.

We're anticipating another winter storm, here. Hopefully, this one will skip you!

Sat. and Mon. forecast is showing a wintery mix. I was watching for some robins in the snow but they must have been laying low and I didn't get any opportunities for photos. I was pleased to be able to get a photo of the wood duck up high in the oak tree, though.

Wisconsin sure has some pretty birds:) The first shot is a wish list sight for me.

I think of you each time I post a cardinal picture!

That's wonderful:)

Awesome clik 😍difficult photography 🤗

Thanks! All of these were taken through the window, so I didn't even get cold!

Hello dear friend @ melinda010100 good afternoon
What a beautiful Christmas postcard, and what beautiful birds you have there, I admire your photo sessions, they always pleasantly surprise us
I appreciate that you have shown us these beautiful images
have a beautiful afternoon

The snow has turned to rain and is mostly gone from the the tree branches. That's the best kind of snow, but it was pretty while it lasted.

Great timing that snow haha Great set of photos. Bright colors of cardinal, bluejay, goldfinch all pop in snow. These are all birds we are seeing in Vermont right now. Although we are getting overrun with starlings and blackbirds right now.

Same here! So many starlings and blackbirds!

A few years ago we also had similar spring, so I know what it is like to have snow in March. Fortunately/luckily we have a proper spring this year. Hopefully the weather in your area soon will become warmer.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

I am hoping this will be our last snowfall of the season, but there will probably be more!

Nice shots!

Thanks! Glad the Bluejay picture made El laugh!

Very interesting @melinda010100

I think we can learn a lot from the lives of these birds or other living things.

We hope to get something else under some circumstances. But it hasn't happened yet, like hoping for sunshine in winter.

In time something will come its time, then it will come.

These birds don't complain about the falling snow, but they do come out of their nests to find food and they get it.

I guess, so should we. We don't want to complain about the situation and hope for the better. But, should still try to find other alternatives when conditions are not good.

We still have to move and do what we can until the best conditions come as we expect.

So true! Enjoy each day!

Yeah, it really looks like Christmas. Somehow these birds look unhappy and in mourning or something too😅

Waking up to wet feathers can't be very pleasant!

Ah, I can imagine.

It's also still snowing by you as well. Every time we think that winter has passed we get a little more white stuff. There is some snow in the forecast for today.

Do you see many wood ducks by you.
I've only ever seen one and when I did I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I knew it was a duck, but when it flew off and literally attached itself to the side of a tree, I figured that couldn't possible be a duck, they don't land in trees.
When I mentioned what I had seen to a neighbor, he said that it was a Wood duck.

Ducks in trees always seem odd to me, too! This one was on a big beach high up in an oak tree. I see them occasionally and am always delighted when I do spot them. They are really shy and don't let me get close.

The only other wood duck I've ever seen are the ones they use for decoys to lure in an unsuspecting #featheredfriend. 😥

They are not uncommon to see here by the river, but they are very wary. This is a through the window shot.

Wow what a great picture! The Wood Duck that I saw must have been a female, it was not nearly as colorful as this one.
What a magnificent bird.
